No they're not. Our laws are based on ensuring the most protection of our liberties while ensuring that we do not tread on someone else's liberties.

I agree. Anyone who wants to live in a socety where morality is legislated by the government should go live in Saudi Arabia and see if it's everything they thought it would be.

Anyone who's ever read any of my posts on BaptistBoard knows that I'm as conservative as they come.

I could care less about the "homosexual agenda". I'm concerned about the Constitutional agenda.

In some twisted, Twilight Zone-ish kind of way, it might make some feel that they're "standing up for righteousness" to pass laws against gay sex but all they're doing is making criminals out of non-violent, otherwise law abinding people.

A law in this case isn't going to keep gays frm having sex and the repeal of such a law isn't going to encouage gay sex because these laws arenever enforced to begin with. And that's not even to bring up the terrifying question of how you guys would go about enforcing such a law in the first place.

Look, I've made my views on homosexuality well known - it's an abomination before God - so spare me the "homosexual agenda" nonsense.

This has nothing to do with gays and their sexual habits. It's about the rights of Americans (and, ultimately, this affect all Americans - gay and straight) to conduct themselves in the manner of their choosing in their own homes.

    God bless America.

</font>[/QUOTE]if you dont think a ruling of this sort will not be used to strengthen the homosexual agenda to promote their lifestyle as natural and teach even more so in public schools the acceptance of such behavior, then you are so very naive.
i hate the liberal homosexual agenda, many of my relatives as well as i have young children that go to public schools. it is a shame to have to worry about liberal agendas destroying people.
it is not just about being conservative it is about being accountable to Godly wisdom and what is right

One point I would like to make:
Our laws are based on morality. Believing in personal liberty, the right to be left alone, is a moral belief. What it boils down to in this case is, do you believe consenting adults are entitiled to make their own moral choices in the privacy of their own home, or do you think that they should be coerced under threat of prosecution and imprisonment?
You can legislate morality. And you should. But the most important thing is, what morality are you legislating?

That's a great reason to follow the constitutional separation of school and state. [IMG]

The same heavy hand so eager to take away the personal freedoms of individuals such as homosexuals (or any group you don't agree with) today, if successful, may be reaching to remove your rights as a Christian next. Once that door is opened, it's very difficult to close it again.

Most of us have made a lot more money doing other stuff mass. We don't do it for the money, we do it because God called us to it.

I hold my views out of honor for Jesus and his teachings.

    Our Forefathers had it right.
It was a lot nicer time in American life.

The Rot Gut Liberal American culture we live in now must surely stink to the literal Highest of Heavens!

And here, the rotting metastases begins...right here:

    http://www.sodomylaws.org/history/history.htm

There are those (liberals) who dare say this country was not founded on Judeo-Christian principals. Horsefeathers! Just the laws are proof. But these are the same people who rewrite history for their own personal agendas. And their agenda, not unlike....

This gay rights, do whatever feels good agenda as sick & disgusting as it is, pales in comparison to the millions of unborn babies whom the wretched, abominable, wicked evil-doers of the U.S. Supreme Court have caused to be mercilously slaughtered at the hands of other evil-doers, however.

The United States owes Sodom and Gomorrha an apology.

That may very well be but they're Americans, too, and they have the same right to promote their "agenda", as you and I have to promote Christianity.

The justices of the U.S. Supreme Court never caused one abortion. The individuals who voluntarily had the procedure are responsible for their own abortions - whether before or after the procedure was legalized.

Hardly. Homosexuality is not rampant in the U.S. as it was in Sodom and Gomorrah. It may seem like it to right-wing fundamentalist authoritarians but it really isn't.

I suppose the AIDS epidemic that has been around for the past 25 years hasn't claimed a single innocent victim. Don't forget it was gay men who brought this disease on to the rest of mankind.

AIDS, like all sexually transmitted diseases, is transmitted as a result of promiscuity.

Fidelity and promiscuity are topics that are completely unrelated to discussions of sexual orientation.

The "Stone Age" hummmm. I guess God changed His mind since then. There is NO difference between rapist, murderers, pedophiles, adulters, drug dealers, etc., and the sick perverted AIDS spreading, child recruiting, unnatural sodomite. I don't care what they do in their private or with their privates, but go back to the closet to do so. Don't expect us to accept your filthy perverted lifestyle. It is not normal and it is not natural and it is not holy and it is not moral and it will never be right.

They ruled it permissible, my Friend. The blood of butchered innocent babies drips from their hands just as much as from the butchers at the abortion mills and the corporations who profit from selling the baby parts. [IMG]

So what? The Supreme Court permits one to get drunk, to commit fornication, to get overeat, to be a couch potato. Now you are starting to sound like the liberals who blame guns for murders instead of the one using the gun.

Aren't you glad we are under grace. Under the law that is exactly what was to be done, but under grace He gives a chance to repent. However their doom is still the same if they don't repent.
