I hesitate to do the same because, while I support this particular policy shift, I think overall they are a pernicious influence, both in their general practices vis-à-vis low-level employees (e.g. locking them in the store for hours without pay on security grounds) and in their effect on local small businesses in the retail cores of small-to-medium sized towns and on those towns' tax bases.

Actually Haruo, that was essentially the content of my message. "Generally I dislike your business practices, but this time you did the right thing."

Thanks, SheEagle! I have written them with my support for doing the right thing. I am also sharing this with a large number of like minded people.

Thanks for the address. I also just used them, but unlike the *edited to read "others"* on this thread to tell the biblical truth.

From Gina: I know you tried to edit it yourself, and thanks! That's 15 minute time limit will take some getting used to by a number of us. [IMG]

While I agree with Haruo with regard to the general business practices of WalMart and the unfair (slave labor) treatment of their personal I too used the form supplied by She Eagle to support this decision with regard to Gay personel. Thanks She Eagle .. what a service to man(woman)kind!

Alcott you have the right to your opinion and I will support your right to express it ... but you do not have the right of condemnation and ugly name calling. Where is Murph when you need him? Oh, I know ... your are not considered to be a liberal .. so it must be okay.

    Bob,

"Anti-Christ" is a biblical term for those who set themselves against Christ and His teachings. Those who condone perverted sexual behavior certainly fall into this category and it is the God give right and duty of the believer to point out those who have set themselves against Christ.

No, in scripture, "antichrist" is a term for those that:

    - deny Jesus is the Christ
    - deny the Father and the Son
    - deny Jesus Christ came in the flesh

    Good try though.

    To deny Christ...

The word in the Old Testament that is translated "deny" is kachash, which according to Strongs concordance means: "to be untrue, in word (to lie, feign, disown) or deed (to disappoint, fail, cringe) :- deceive, deny, dissemble, fail, deal falsely, be found liars, (be-) lie, lying, submit selves.

Here other places where this word is used:

In transgressing and lying against the Lord, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood. Isaiah 59:13

They have belied the Lord, and said, It is not he; neither shall evil come upon us; neither shall we see sword nor famine: Jeremiah 5:12

By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood. Hosea 4:2

From this we can see that it is to lie about God, departing from God, being abominable and disobediant.

The spirit of Baal is the spirit of anti-Christ. The spirit of Baal is alive and well today, even in many churches, having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof......(like deliverence from the bondage of sexual sins which includes homosexuality). Romans Chapter One.

No, not to "deny Christ". To "deny Jesus is the Christ", to "deny the Father and the Son" and to "deny Jesus Christ came in the flesh". The Apostle Peter denied Christ, but he never denied Jesus was the Christ.

She-Eagle, are you in agreement with Alcott (and apparently Mark) that some of the posters on this thread are "antichrist", denying that Jesus is the Christ or that he came in the flesh?

Name calling seems the norm. To refer to any one who is a born again believer as "anti-christ" is not tolerated.

We ask folks who use such language to go back and edit their own post. We should have enough character to know when we've overstepped decency to our Christian brothers and sisters.

If posters WON'T self-monitor (when a clear offense is pointed out) other action will be taken.

Just a word of advice from a visitor to this forum and one who is condemning WallyWorld for another step down a slippery slope.

Murph [/QB]</font>[/QUOTE]You are more that welcome. I didn't admit to anything ... I simply commented on what may or may not be your perception of things ... I guess its okay then to refer to another Christian as being an anti-Christ. Let me assure you that I am in no way a liberal ... in the true since of that word.

    SheEagle:

Thank you so much for the contact info. I have forwarded that, along with a copy of the policy, to everyone on my email list as well as ALL OF THE CHURCHES in my area. [IMG]

    Brian:

How can you NOT deny these things you listed at the same time you ARE denying what God says in the Bible about homosexuals?

    - deny Jesus is the Christ
    - deny the Father and the Son
    - deny Jesus Christ came in the flesh

Actually Bob you are the one I read posting the word anti christ. I was not online when the ruckus occured. The question you ask is it OK to refer to another Christian as an anti christ and I must say probuly not but we must all remember that every baptist is not a christian, and ofcourse we also know that all christians aren't baptists, but I wish they were. ;)

Sue, what are you talking about??? Are you saying I'm antichrist?!?

Please show where I denied Jesus is the Christ, where I denied the Father and the Son, and/or denied Jesus Christ came in the flesh.

After that, please show where I denied what God said in the Bible about homosexuals.

Since you won't be able to do either, you may want to either apologize and/or be more careful what you accuse me of in the future, thanks.

No, Brian. I did not even imply that. I also did not say you had denied that Jesus is the Christ. I stated nothing...I asked you a question

My question was how can you believe the following three things and at the same time condone what God condemns...homosexuality:

    - Jesus is the Christ
    - the Father and the Son
    - Jesus Christ came in the flesh

    You said,
God cannot look on sin...He does not even hear the prayers of the lost except the prayer of accepting His Son. How can He love an unsaved sinner when He cannot look on sin?

    You said
Jesus also said, "GO AND SIN NO MORE". Do you think he would tell a homosexual to "GO AND CONTINUE IN YOUR SIN"?

God said we are to love the sinner and hate the sin. God did not say we had to RESPECT the sinner which is the intent of this policy that you are so much in favor of.

i do NOT respect liars and thieves. Why should I be forced to respect homosexuals? I have no problem with showing common courtesy; but respect? No!

"Who, knowing the judgment of God, that they who commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them."
    Romans 1:32

I do not feel I owe you an apology, but since you think I do, I am sorry if I offended you or misunderstood your intent.

OTOH, you should read more carefully and understand what a person is saying before you accuse THEM of accusing YOU.

    Blessings,
    Sue
