this thread was closed, but I wish to give these 2 another try to answer very simple questions.

This is amazing. I am sure after I show the ignorance of these posts, it will simply be ignored by the KJVO, so I'll post it for the benefit of any lurkers who wish to know the truth.

    from standing firm

I dont follow, and neither does anyone else able to define the term LOGIC. People claim that translations since the KJV, such as the NASB for starters, are more accurate because they are, and rather than discuss this from an issue of hard evidence and plain reason, people like you avoid the issue, and argue in a circle. When that doesnt work, you make statements like this one above. It is completely asinine to claim that one MUST think a TRANSLATION is inspired in order to feel it is more accurate than ANOTHER TRANSLATION. I stand for the NASB, and others here stand for many others, even some for the KJV, even though they know they arent inspired. You have ZERO PROOF that it is, and you have been asked for it repeatedly. You quote Timothy all day long, with ZERO evidence that "all scripture" means the KJV and no other translation. Its a shell game; a charade, a desperate attempt to support legalism in hopes no one calls you out. Its foolish to claim that these acts of dishonesty are anything close to defending the Word of God. The hypocrisy is not in defending another translation over the KJV, its in making the claims you have and having NOTHING to support it.

GREAT. I think the AUTHOR would have been a better source, but in order to defend a myth, one will use almost any line they can find! Do you even have a clue what Andrew Peterson had to say about his work? Can you answer that question without libel?

What do you consider "key words" and who made you the authority on what can and cant be removed from the KJV and it still be perfect? If one NEW WORD was added or one WORD taken away, can both reading still be perfect? I am certain you will not answer this honestly, so anyone lurking take note: there is a reason why he will not answer this question. Ill tell you after he fails to answer.

    from Linda64

Interesting, since you clearly have no clue what the greek here actually means. God forbid is a horrid translation, if in fact it can even be called that. The word GOD is simply not there. You advocate adding the name of God into the word when it is not there? Once again, I am sure you wont answer this honestly, so Ill just inform anyone lurking that there is a reason you wont answer it, and that will be revealed after you dont answer it.

My proof that the KJV is Holy Spirit inspired? God's Holy Spirit bears witness with my spirit that it is the infallable Word of God.

It is interesting that YOU can spend most of your time kicking people around on these threads without having your posts edited out. All you have done is attack people because YOU don't agree with those who defend the KJV. How's that answer? It probably won't be accepted because you are dead against the KJV defenders.

And God's Holy Spirit bears witness with my spirit that the NKJV is the infallible word of God.

I think this verse is used out of context - the Spirit bears witness with our spirits that we are the sons of God. There is no indication He tells us which version to use.

    infallible

    INFAL'LIBLE, a. L. fallo.

    1. Not fallible; not capable of erring; entirely exempt from liability to mistake; applied to persons. No man is infallible; to be infallible is the prerogative of God only.

    2. Not liable to fail, or to deceive confidence; certain; as infallible evidence; infallible success.

To whom he showed himself alive after his passion, by many infallible proofs--

How can each be infallible when one verse says something entirely different than another? when whole verses are removed? when passages are removed?

    Not possible.

Hmm...The Holy Spirit also bears witness with the spirit of others to show that the NKJV, the NASB, etc. are the infallible word of God. I believe the Holy Spirit when He leads me to use the NKJV. The Holy Spirit leaads us to study the word of God, and the word of God comes in various English versions as well as versions in other languages. The word of God is found in the KJV, the NKJV, the NASB, the ESV...the list goes on.

So the Bishops Bible, Geneva Bible, etc were not infallible. God made the world do without an ifallible Bible till 1611?

    Not possible.

I don't know but C4K and Kieth both say that the HS leads them to other versions you say the KJV which does someone believe? This is the ultimate point you cannot defend KJVO'ism using your logic.
BTW the HS leads me to use the ESV.

    So which is infallible?

    KJV
    NKJV
    ESV
    NASB

Any Bible proof would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance for clearing this up for someone as muddle headed as me.

StandingfirminChrist: //How can each be infallible when one verse says something entirely different than another?//

    Take the moral high ground.
Assume that each and every Bible is the ilnfallible written word of God.
If there is a problem with one person between two verses or two
translations or two versions or between two persons about
the verses, translations, versions -- IT IS NOT GOD'S FAULT!
It is a problem to be resolved prayfully between the two parties
    or among the one person.

    Take the moral high ground.
Assume that each and every Bible is the ilnfallible written word of God.
This is a faith based decision: believing that God is capable of
preserving His Holy Written Word unto all generations
(and beliving humans incapable of figuring God out).

IMO, no translation is inerrant; the only texts deserving of the term "inerrant" are the autographs.

Without meaning to, or maybe on purpose, you have completely proven my point. You cannot stand to have your claims questioned. If your claims were truth, then you would have NO PROBLEM answering simple questions about it. For example, I do not accept once saved always saved as defined by most baptists. You may disagree. I would have NO PROBLEM answering simple questions about it, such as scriptural support for my position, and plain reason as to why I believe it.

So, rather than answer the simple questions about your CLAIMS, you take it personal, and whine "foul" in order to not have to answer for your legalistic claim which has NO SUPPORT by EITHER SCRIPTURE OR FACT.

Yes, your answer is accepted. It is your testimony that you have nothing to present except for YOUR WORD in defense of your claims. I reject YOUR TESTIMONY, and I, along with any true Christian, seek the testimony of someone with just a bit more authority. Should you wish to know who qualifies, take out your KJV, and turn to the Table of Contents page. I think that list should be a good start.

I wonder what excuse you will make now.....

KJV 1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

ESV 1 John 5:7 For there are three that testify: (what are the three? The Spirit, the water and the blood? not according to the KJV.)

NAS 1 John 5:8 For there are three that bear witness, the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement. (7 removed?)

NKJ 1 John 5:8 And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one. (much closer to the KJV)

So it is your testimony, standing firm, that the ENTIRETY of your evidence consists of subjective evidence?

The Holy Spirit has led me to use the NASB as my final authority. As such, according to your theory, YOU are now bound by MY conviction.

When will you be trading in your KJV for the NASB, since I have now presented the same evidence you have?

So what does that say about the Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek texts of scripture? Not inspired? It is impossible for two (an original text and a translation) to be inspired. When Paul wrote that all of scripture was inspired by God, English did not exist.

If you believe the KJV is inspired where does that place all other translations in other languages?
Is English somehow superior. Apparently God chose the three languages He did and English was not one of them.

I am still confused here - could someone please give me Bible evidence for which English translation is infallible?

If the Holy Spirit directs me to the Geneva Bible is that infallible?

Removed from what? From the KJV? Why is that a problem? The KJV ADDED many things to God's word. How do you feel about that? An example is KAIPER ESTIN in Revelation 17:8. Can you find ONE SINGLE MANUSCRIPT, church father, lexionary, or any other evidence ON THIS PLANET to support this reading? If not, then you must admit that the KJV added to God's word here. Are you honest enough to even look it up, or will you turn a blind eye?
