I could not let this thread on KJVO schools go without a reminder from Romans 16:17-18
The KJVO sect has done just this, sadly, to historic fundamentalism. You may still opt to attend or support these schools, but thought you should be aware.

Everyone who "calls" themselves IFB are not. Or have changed the fundamentals to deceive many.

(BTW, if you would like to debate the "only" issue, please go to the Bible Versions Forum on the BB. This is just designed to be a warning about the sect.)

KJVOs are not even fundamentalists. How could you have a KJVO IFB school?

Heritage Baptist University uses only the KJV. However this university is most humble than any "KJV only" colleges. [IMG]

Gulf Coast Bible Institute, Gulf Coast Bible Institute They are KJV only and very proudly so. They state on the the website and handbook that if they ever hear of a person that receives a degree from they begin using some other version they will revoke the degree.

On their webpage, they claim to use the 1611 Authorized Version.
Do they really use the Authorised Version of 1611? If their AV doesn't contain I and II Esdras, then they are not using the 1611 Authorised Version.
    My AV does......

Is this the school in (near) Indianapolis? If so, you are most correct, they are very humble. But I didn't get the impression that they were KJVO, but rather TRO?

This Gulf Coast College should not even be considered a reputable college since they do not even teach Hebrew or Greek.

I am a graduate of Gulf Coast Bible Inst. I have attended others but I would have to say this is by far the best school I've seen. Dr. Tabb is one of the most gifted teachers Iv'e heard. Another good thing about this school is you can do it by correspondance. You don't have to leave your church to get your degree, or to grow tremendously in knowledge. As far as 1 and 2 Edras, that is the the inspiried word of God. The translators never considered that to be inspiried. Gulf Coast Bible Inst. is definitely kjvo.

Lighthouse, what do you mean by the above statement? Are you saying these books *should* be considered scripture (1st sentence quoted above) or *should not* be scripture (2nd sentence quoted above)? I am confused. And what does that have to do with Gulf Coast Bible Institute?

    Hi Mesly,
Lighthouse is referring to my post. I followed the link to the college and noted that they claimed to be using the 1611 King James Version. Many people who claim to use the 1611 AV as I do are not really using this, but rather one of the revisions. I was asking if these people really knew which version of the Bible they are using.
The true 1611 AV contains the Apocrypha. If their 1611 King James Version does not contain I and II Esdras, then they are not using the 1611 King James Version.
