Common sense is something I have a TON of. I just let my wife hold it (the common sense) for me. I am not making light of a difficult situation, it is just that the solution is simple to say but more difficult to accomplish. Common sense works everytime but like diet and exercise it is harder to practice than it looks. Just be willing to put off immediate pleasures in favor of long term goals and you CAN get out of debt.

The discipleship model provides for serious and loving accountability. It works for financial training, how to study one's bible, how to be a better husband/father, how to have a consistent prayer life, etc...

If such things were so obvious to implement, there would be no significant need for believer to attend church after conversion. After all, we already have God's Word right?
