    I guess it's just the kind of attitude you have going into the college, Tri Hard. Pensacola is a really great school. In fact, my brother is attending Pensacola right now. [​IMG] And if it's just rumors you heard, you might want to check it out yourself. ;)

    Charity, I am not saying that Pensacola is a bad school, I was just mocking the fact that someone called it the best. [​IMG]

    It wasn't just rumors that I have heard though. My former roommate transferred from there. Plus, one of my friends just graduated from PCC!

    One of the reasons it has so many people is because of the nice campus and how much it cost to go to school at PCC. In the realm of the cost of college today, PCC is one of the cheapest. I just about went there, but I like Steven Curtis Chapman and Third Day. I enjoy listening to good uplifting music, but I couldn't listen to it if I went to school at PCC. :cool:

    North American Baptist College/Edmonton Baptist Seminary has now changed its name to Taylor University and Seminary. You can check it out at http://www.taylor-edu.ca

    Jacob, its your neighbourhood - so correct me if I'm wrong - but isn't BLEC shutdown? (My wife worked for the Ascent Program )
    The new program is called Route and is connected with Canadian Baptist Ministries.

    You may be right about BLEC, although the Convention still has it listed on its web site - I'll research that.

    I just heard the choir from Faithway Baptist College in Ajax last month and they did a fine job. I was attending a Church Planting Conference in Barrie, ONT. I talked with a number of the young people and they seemed to be committed to ministry. A number talked about missions and church planting and were good solid Baptist kids. [​IMG]

    169 William Jewell College Liberty, MO 1849 SBC - Missouri Baptist Convention www.jewell.edu This school will not be affliated with the Missouri Baptist Convention much longer. They permitted a student produced version of "The Vagina Monologues" on campus earlier this year. Plus they recently allowed the Student Government to vote on a non-discrimination policy toward gays on campus. The school is flagrantly moving toward LIBERAL with a Capital "L" and is a current matter of much concern to us Missouri Baptists. Much of the school was damaged this past weekend by the tornadoes that swept through the Kansas City area.


    Word of information about:

    103 Mercer University Macon, Atlanta, GA 1833 SBC - Georgia Baptist Convention http://www.mercer.edu - President is Kirby Godsey author of "When we Talk about God, Let's be Honest." The book should be read by all parents before thinking of sending their kids to Mercer. If Universalism is acceptable to you in a Baptist College then Mercer is the place to go.

    139 Shorter College Rome, GA 1873 SBC - Georgia Baptist Convention - This college is attempting to disconnect from the Ga. Baptist Convention. It has a liberal reputation. I can attest to this since my wife and my sister graduated from this school.

    172 Yellowstone Baptist College Billings, MT 1974 Montana Southern Baptist Fellowship www.yellowstone.edu - Yellowstone is probably the tiniest Baptist College on the list and may well be the least expensive. It has a long way to go to be a viable school. It is basically a struggling regional school. I served on the YBC Board for two years.
