    There is a rumor on campus that the search committee will annouce on Friday their nomination for the next president of SEBTS.

    As far as I know, he is pretrib/premill. He might not be hardcore classic dispy, but neither am I, so that is a good thing.

    Contrary to popular belief, not all SBTS leaders are reformed. Akin is one example.

    Is this Danny Akin guy a Calvinist? If so, what type (strict 5 pointer, 4 pointer, etc).

    He is a 4 (or 4.5) pointer.

    It's a shame that he's going to SEBTS.

    Danny Akin would be a good choice (speaking as a SEBTS student and staff member). Remember, he left SEBTS to go to SBTS ane he may well be coming back home.

    Akin is a little more Calvinistic than he was when he arrived at SBTS 7 years ago. Yet he is still less Calvinistic than Mohler.

    Hey with Akin and Jerry Johnson leaving, what prevents SBTS from becoming Presbyterian ????

    As a student at SEBTS I am ecstatic about the possibility that Akin is the man.

    Who cares if he is a 4pointer or a 5pointer? I would not consider myself a Calvinist and I am still shouting with joy about this possibility. I do not understand why it is that when a name is brought up in any discussion immediately it is asked about his views concerning Calvinism. Personally, I believe there are much more important questions to be asked!

    The announcement will be made by Bart Neal at 12:30pm for the trustees to consider the nominee at the January meeting.

    Concerning the begging comment, it appears that Akin and his SBC buddies have been doing the begging.
