witnessing to Jews

I can't imagine an effective on-line Jewish evangelism ministry.
After working in a Jewish institution for 22 years, I have found that the most effective ministry with conservitive Jewish people is a face-to-face, long term, "I really care for you" type of witness.

I imagine going over prophecy (Daniel 9 or Isaiah 53) might open the door to some discussion.

I am a born again, blood washed Jewish believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. I've been saved for 32 years. Before I came to the Lord, I sincerely believed that the NT was a "Gentile" book written by "Christians". I thought, as do most Jews, that all Gentiles are Christians, and was equating Roman Catholicism to Christianity. There was "us" (Jews) and "them" (Gentiles).

I would suggest that you read up on the "Jewishness" of the Gospel. There are alot of ministries with outreaches to the Jews. Here are the names of some-- Jews for Jesus, Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry, Chosen People Ministries,Ariel Ministries, Zola Levitt, Midnight Call Ministries, etc.

I'm sure if you do a Google search, you can find that most have websites that will be helpful. One thing that is very important when you witness to the Jewish people is that you show them that you have a godly love for them and a love for Israel. The lady who lead me to the Lord 32 years ago knew about Judaism--but she had much more than just "head" knowledge. She had a genuine love for the Jewish people and Israel.

Most Jews have a fear that they will lose their "Jewish" identity if they "convert" to Christianity--you need to assure your Jewish friends that this is not true. I am a member of an IFB church and have not lost my "Jewish" identity even though I am a member of the Body of Christ/the Church. That "identity" sticks with you all the time--that's just what you are.

I have had many opportunities to witness to Jews. Here are my experiences:

1. Build a friendship with them first.
2. Answer questions honestly and from scripture that they may have.
3. be honest with them and tell them when you don't know the answer to a question. They respect that.
4. Make sure they understand that not all Christians are Catholics.
5. Don't push conversion on them. That will turn them off. Do present the Gospel and tell them that you will pray for them that God will open their eyes to the truth. Then leave it at that and allow God to save them through his Word.
6. Don't argue with them. This is just as counter productive as arguing with any other non-Christian.

After building a strong friendship with some Israeli friends here in Arkansas, we were invited over to their house for dinner many years ago. We discussed politics and religion, the meaning of life, etc...

The discussion led to their mispersceptions that all Christians were Catholics, and then led to discussion about the Bible. They started asking questions about Christianity and continued to do so. They are very willing to listen to the message of Christianity with an open mind. They kept going and finally we got to the point where they were asking questions about salvation. I presented the Gospel to them. They have not accepted, but I continue to pray for them and trust God that his Word will not return void.
