Please pray for one of our Chinese ladies, who have just begun to go to church. I won’t mention her name, but God knows whom I’m speaking.

In her earlier years, before marriage, she went to church, claimed to be a Christian, but later married a man who was an active Buddhist. She dropped out of Church, and adapted to her husband’s belief, but found no rest or peace.

We started our second church, not too long ago, and our Chinese teacher, who is training to be a preacher, invited her to church. She quickly renewed her faith in God and quickly realized that this is where she should be. Now that her heart was finally feeling the love and grace of God once again, a terrible incident occurred in her life. She became pregnant, and her in China there is the dreaded one child policy. Her husband, who is a Communist member, quickly sent her to hospital for the abortion.

The abortion didn’t go well. She has become sick and is struggling to regain her health. Not only is her physical health weakened and endangered, but also her spiritual well-being is being attacked. Her husband blames her belief in Christianity for her sickness and trouble. He isn’t being very supportive and this is weighing on her more and more. Of course she feels lonely, hurt, and sick that she has aborted the baby.

Please pray for God’s mercy and grace in her life. God will and can get the victory, but she will have to be willing to forgive herself and willing to use this episode in her life as a means to teach others.

Many women, here in China, go through this dreaded ordeal, and never find help or forgiveness. Pray that God will some how meet the needs in this family!

I will pray for her! God is doing amazing things over there.

I think this website is a good one to find resources for post-abortive women. (if you are able to access if over there)

For your own safety, should you label yourself as a missionary?
