It is Christian to Oppose Christmas!

Let me see, the US courts have declared a public celebration of the religious side of Christmas to be unconstitutional or something, right? So if we don't celebrate Christmas as a religious holiday, we are siding with the anti-Christian bias of the courts.

...therefore we MUST celebrate Christmas in order not to be seen as agreeing with the anti-Christian bias of the powers that be.

It's another way of looking at it.

Every year at Christmas and Easter we hear this sermon with an appeal to the Law of Moses which brought on my rant.

KJV Romans 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

KJV 2 Corinthians 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

We are not under the law but led of the Spirit.

If the Spirit is leading you away from Christmas celebration, even a Christian kind of celebration or you feel that it is "not of faith" then brethren don't get involved.

Personally, I have never been led this way (non-involvement) or thought it was "not of faith".

our annual commemoration of the birth of Christ (the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us) is Christian, singing Christmas Carols of praise to Jesus Christ, bringing special gifts to the Church, giving to the poor and needy, being with my children (all 11 are adults now) enjoying the memories of "Christmas past" and having family fellowship, etc.

Here is my favorite Cristmas Carol, a beautiful Christmas Carol by Charles Wesley and singing it is no "pagan practice".

Peace on earth, and mercy mild,
God and sinners reconciled!”
