Does rick warren use the PD seminars as a witnessing tool for roman catholics and mormons?

Ive read where he offers them to these denominations.

Is this ecumenicalism or legitimate witnessing of the gospel?

The Purpose Drivem Life is published by Zondervan and is sold just about everywhere, from you local Christian bookstore to Wal-Mart and everything in between. Any Catholic, Mormon, or anyone else who has around $15 can buy one.

PDC conferences are mostly attended by pastors.

i dont care much for the Purpose driven life book... i'd much rather read the word of God to find the purpose that God's given me then some book written by some guy who was taught under robert schuller...

Then why are the vast majority of pastors so ignorant about knowing how to intentionally make disciples? The majority of pastors haven't a clue how to train a new believer over a two year period in such a way to be able to lead another to Christ and disciple that person. Most of the time it is a game of come to church and listen to sermons or get a bunch of head knowledge then you are a disciple.

because they dont let the Holy Spirit lead. plain and simple. they may think they're letting the Holy Spirit lead... but in actuality if its that hard to make disciples... whos really teaching them... the preacher or the Holy Spirit?

Why would Rick Warren preach the gospel of Christ? If he really did preach the gospel straight he would not be so popular. Rick warren is radically ecumenical.

    PURPOSE DRIVEN CATHOLICS

It is doubtful that Rick Warren is even born again.

Luke 6:26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.

That's definitely something I'm not qualified to determine. None of us can know a man's heart, but only God.

Wow Psalm, first C.S. Lewis now Rick Warren, anyone else you would like to condemn to Hell? How about Dr. Dobson? Maybe Jerry Falwell? Hey why not just go for Billy Graham and get it over with?

Didn't Dobson say that Harry Potter was ok for kids? It is not about condemning anyone to hell. It is about getting a grip on the true beliefs of some of these "Christian" icons. People are so gullible.

None of us are capable of judging another man's heart (especially concerning salvation). We need to be very careful here that we do not usurp the authority and power to judge by playing the Holy Spirit. I am not in agreement with the PD life. I donot think thought that we should be attackingRick Warren personally and questioning his salvation.

You Rick Warren bashers really need to get lives! I hear the same stupid, lame comments like "...I don't need Rick Warren's book to know my purpose..." and at the same time are not living lives with purpose. ANYONE can read the Bible to find their purpose, but that is not the point of PDL. It is to be used as a devotional in your daily walk...nothing more. For those of you who continually bash RW, do you attend church weekly? Why? Your pastor is not doing anything different that RW! Hypocrites!

 I am amazed at the arrogance of some who can make comments like this. Feel free to disagree with Warren and whoever else you like. But do not doubt the man's salvation. That is simply out of line.

    Amen. Exactly right.

I felt it was important to let Webdog know that we finally agreed about Rick Warren on that. It must be a sign that he is growing in Christ.
