The preacher, above all others must live what he preaches. The world is watching him. 1 Peter 5 tells us the preacher has a special reward, the crown of Glory waiting for him if he is faithful.

Romans 12:2 tells us, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

While we are in this world, we are not to be influenced by the world. We are to live a life that is changed by the Lord so the answer to your question is no.

2 Pet 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

What manner of persons we ought to be is all too often not the manner of persons we are but, being a real work in real progress is a real goal.

Prov. 26:12, "Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him."

Prov. 29:20, "Do you see a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him."

Ps. 10:4, "The wicked, in the haughtiness of his countenance, does not seek Him. All his thoughts are, "There is no God."

Ps. 14:1, "The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, they have committed abominable deeds; There is no one who does good."
