  • So I haven’t heard from you in a while…how’s it going, how is your wife and family? My son told me that Oregon was in the 50 degree mark while NJ is 0 degrees! I find that hard to believe…16 ppl in NYC have already died of the cold.

    Regards
    Steve
Hello Walter, I have not spoken to you in a while….how are you, your wife and family. I have a baby granddaughter now in addition to my grandson who is a healthy & rambunctious 3 yo that I love to death.

In closing, I’m praying that your wife is well and contending with her cancer treatments.

Anyway, God Bless and Happy Easter.

    Hi Steve,
My wife is finished with both the chemo and radiation treatments. She's cancer free now and I am so grateful.

I am very glad to hear about your grandchildren. I know they must keep you smiling. The weather is changing and I am sure you are looking forward to activities outside with them

So good to hear from you. Have a wonderful Easter and God bless you and your family

Walter, I am so glad that your wife is cancer free.

My beloved beautiful godly wife died August 5, 2024 after battling cancer for 6 years. We were married 21 years and were basically each other’s only companions. My life is extremely bleak and disoriented now.

Bless you and your wife. I will tell you what someone told me —- hold her close and hold her often!

Thank you for sharing this with me. My wife's cancer is presently in remission, however, she has a type of Parkinsons that advances quickly as well as COPD. She is on Palliative care and I'm almost always with her. Holding her often is extremely important to me. I am grateful for every moment I have with her.
God bless you and I am very sorry for your loss
I have attended non-Catholic churches in the past, but I always found myself comparing them to the Catholic faith. At some point I just had to return home.
Great testimony in your last post! Your story is compelling and I am glad that you see the Catholic faith tradition as one that has stood the test of time.
Found out about JohnDeerFan and his mocking/belittling style. I realized this very quickly and called him out on it. Then he comes back all innocent and everything. I told him I wasn't fooled.

He has posted in the same manner for years. I was a die hard Baptist when I first joined this board and he flipped out when I announced (along with others) that we were becoming Catholic. He can act very childish.
Not sure why. But it might have something to do with being Catholic now instead of Baptist. You might want to PM Andrew who owns the board and see what he can do.
