Leighton Flowers is a teaching pastor in his local church, an adjunct Professor and the Youth Evangelism Director for TEXAS BAPTISTS. In this position he directs a statewide youth leadership training camp called Super Summer, impacting thousands of Christian teenagers with in depth Bible study and discipleship training. Leighton also directs the Youth Evangelism Conference, reaching anywhere between 3 to 5 thousand Texas teenagers with the gospel of Christ each year. In addition, he assists in the oversight of such ministries as Hot Hearts and See You At The Pole, impacting students not only in Texas but all around our world.

Leighton earned a Bachelors Degree in Applied Theology from Hardin-Simmons University (1997); a Masters of Divinity with Biblical Languages from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (2000); and is currently in the final stage of his doctoral studies at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. His dissertation focuses upon the various soteriological perspectives within the Southern Baptist context and the development of a student curriculum to clarify the traditional perspective.

Leighton and his wife Laura have four children (Colson, Cooper, Esther and Caden) and live in North Garland just outside of Dallas.
