    The Number Of God’s Elect

I don't know why you want me to explain, it will make no difference at all! In His foreknowledge He knew the pagans in the Promised Land would never believe in Him, just as He knew Pharaoh would never believe. The Lord destroyed them, all of them in the OT that stood in the way of Israel...

    The Number Of God’s Elect

Truth to your interpretation. Most Christians don't see it your way. Most are convinced Christ is the satisfaction for the sins of the whole world, and He desires all men every where to repent. It's the Calvinists that deny it, along with many other things.

    Imputed Righteousness

I know you're respectful and I don't take it that way from you. Almost everything written in Scripture is seen completely different between the Calvinist and anyone else. They have their own theory of what the Scripture says, and it's by far in the minority of Christianity. Trying to reason...

    Imputed Righteousness

Just as with Z I totally disagree. We are set on what we believe the Scripture teaches and continuing to argue is senseless.

    The Number Of God’s Elect

Well now, we certainly disagree, but arguing will accomplish nothing just make the situation worse.

    Eschatology

Christ explains some of the things that will take place, it's the the generation of Jews who are alive at the time the great tribulations begins. It's Israel that takes the full force of the great tribulation.

    The Number Of God’s Elect

Well, it is what it is.

    The Number Of God’s Elect

That is a denial of God's mercy and Grace toward all of mankind. That will not be overlooked by God, nor the character assassination.

    Imputed Righteousness

Only the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus can set man free from the Law of Sin and Death. Rom. 8:2 "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death." How do we know we have been made free from the Law of Sin and Death? Rom. 10:9-10 "That if...

    Imputed Righteousness

Adam's fall condemned all men to death both physically and spiritually through the Law of Sin and Death. Now man is eternally separated from God with no hope of saving himself from the wrath of God. So God in His mercy and Grace sends an acceptable perfect sacrifice in His Son as a...

    The Number Of God’s Elect

I've wondered through the years about some of the Calvinists/Sovereign Grace, if the faith they have is in the election, believing they don't have to Biblically call on the Lord in repentance and faith in Christ. I wonder if they can recall a time when this happened?

    The Number Of God’s Elect

What about "whosoever will" would that mean the water of life is there for whosoever?
  13. C

    The Number Of God’s Elect

How do you define, "Whosoever will let Him take the water of life freely?" There is no Scripture that tells us God decides who will be saved, that is man-made theology at work!

    The Number Of God’s Elect

When the Gospel is given God the Holy Spirit gives the ability to decide. No one can come to Christ unless it is given to man, and the opportunity is given at the hearing of the Gospel.

    The Number Of God’s Elect

It seems as if they are afraid to make a decision for Christ.

    Imputed Righteousness

John would not have said Christ was the satisfaction for the sins of the whole world if were not possible for all men to believe.

    Imputed Righteousness

Speaking of the Pharisees in particular in John 8, they all had the ability to believe and a few of them did. The Pharisees had their own reasons for rejecting Christ just as today there are many reason for rejecting Him. They of all the people should have believed Christ and would have if He...

    Points of disagreement.

Come on Alan! He is the satisfaction for our sins, and not for OURS ONLY, but also for the sins of the WHOLE WORLD. There can be no mistake, He is the satisfaction for the sins of all of humanity.

John 15:2, 'Every branch in me...'

Easier said than done, I know, but our goal should be to have no known sin in our lives that we keep repeating.

John 15:2, 'Every branch in me...'

In 1 John 3:6 he is speaking of practicing sin over and over without regard or trying to overcome it. We know that we all sin from time to time and we know that we know Him, so we know John is speaking of continuing to practice sin.
