    Sunday School

I think this is another case of something that depends where you live. Here in the UK, Sunday Schools are for children. Robert Raikes started a Sunday School back in 1780, not as an outreach of the church, but to provide a basic education for children who otherwise would have had none...

Is it okay to use the NKJV?

Can you give some examples of where the NKJV does anything based on "ct and stuff", as you call it?

What Does Revelation 18:21-24 Teach Us about Acceptable Instrumental Music?

The context is very specific: “21 Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw [it] into the sea, saying, “Thus with violence the great city Babylon shall be thrown down, and shall not be found anymore. 22 “The sound of harpists, musicians, flutists, and trumpeters shall...

    Self defense and security teams?

I suppose it depends to an extent on conditions where you live. Here in the UK for instance, nobody is allowed to work with children, whether in the context of a church, a secular youth club, a school, or whatever, without first having been vetted, not by a security company, but by the State...

is there such a thing as a 'Baptist Eschatology" Church statement of belief?

I don't know what the numbers are, but I do know the most of the Baptists I am acquainted with personally are amil.

is there such a thing as a 'Baptist Eschatology" Church statement of belief?

It cannot be, because one of the Baptist distinctives is the autonomy (under Christ) of each local church. Among Baptists/Baptist church, there is a wide variety of eschatological positions - pre-mil, amil, etc.

Do we Calvinists really in Fullest sense deny the Trinity then?

Surely there are plenty of Calvinists who are not Baptists?

What does Scripture say about the King James Bible?

I do try to do that. I only posted the question because I wondered what biblical basis Konstantin thought he had for his notion that Scripture says that the last revision of the King James Bible was made by men of God in 1612. As you said, the bible doesn't mention translations of itself anywhere.

Does Rom 5:18 teach that Christ died for all men without exception ?

Perhaps you could quote an example of a Calvinist saying anything like, "I think I am so special because God had to pick me before the foundation of the earth to be saved." I know it was for nothing special in me that I am saved. As John wrote of those who are saved: “But as many as received...

What does Scripture say about the King James Bible?

As Scripture soes not mention any translation of the bible anywhere, where do you think that Scripture says that the last revision of the King James Bible was made by men of God in 1612?

You can be a saint now!

Thanks, Salty. I don't doubt it. I just meant that my own knowledge of the man isn't sufficient to say whether or not he is a saint, i.e. a Christian.

Does Rom 5:18 teach that Christ died for all men without exception ?

I don't call myself a Calvinist. It tends to be those who do not believe in the son-called "Doctrines of Grace" who refer to those who do as "Calvinists." Speaking personally, I came to believe the Doctrines of Grace before I had even heard of John Calvin or Calvinism.

TULIP - Which of the 5 points to subscribe to?

That is an example of what I said in my post: " I have been involved in several threads where non-Calvinists claim (for example) that "Limited Atonement" must mean that Calvinists believe only a few people are saved." Calvinists do believe the bible, and that includes the verse in Revelation...

You can be a saint now!

I don't know him. If he knows the Lord Jesus Christ as his Saviour, then he is a saint. If he doesn't, he isn't. The bible uses the word "saint(s) for all Christians. It is never used in the bible as a title for a special "class" of Christian.

TULIP - Which of the 5 points to subscribe to?

I ticked all 5, but it's important to make sure the 5 Points are understood. I have been involved in several threads where non-Calvinists claim (for example) that "Limited Atonement" must mean that Calvinists believe only a few people are saved, or that "Irresistible Grace" makes us into robots.

    Opinions on GES

I have already quoted Ephesians 2:8-10, where Paul wrote to the Christians in Ephesus reminding them how they had been saved - by God's grace, through faith, not of works. Then verse 10 tells them that they were saved, not to carry on living as they had before they were saved, but "for good...

    Opinions on GES

Yes, and except for well-known ones like "OT" and "KJV", it might be an idea to avoid acronyms. I didn't know what GES was until another poster explained it, and I don't know what dbr (an acronym used, not in the thread title, but in a post on this thread) means.

    Opinions on GES

Sorry, I understand from another poster that GES is Grace Evangelical Society, but what is dbr?

Must One hold to the Trinity in order to be saved then?

He didn't say it was a condition. It is a result of having been saved. Paul wrote to the Ephesian Christians:4 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in...
