    Created Incorruptible

Our "new man" is what I was referring to as being incorruptible, and that is all hinged on the fact that God is incorruptible. I believe that our "old man" is corrupted by sin. Are you saying that you believe that God created man corrupt though?

    Created Incorruptible

Satan is a corrupted spiritual being. When spiritual beings sin, they become corrupt. However, God cannot sin. He is incorruptible.

    John 12:32 in context

SovereignGrace, You didn't include verse 18: "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world." (Romans 10:17-18) God is not limited to human preachers...

    Created Incorruptible

God created man in His image as "a spiritual being", but when Adam sinned his spirit was corrupted. When God created us "in Christ" though, He made us one with His incorruptible spirit: But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. (1 Cor 6:17)

    A great observation!

    Created Incorruptible

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. (Gen 1:27) When God created man, He created him in His image, but not as His equal. Whereas God is incorruptible, man was created corruptible (not yet corrupt, but able to be corrupted)...

    Come Unto Me

Van, I think that we may have to agree to disagree on this Brother. I enjoyed the dialogue though! HankD, I definitely agree that we are called to suffer for His sake.

    Come Unto Me

Van, I agree that all of the verses you've listed refer to God setting us apart in Christ. In John 6:44 though, I believe that it's the drawing, rather than the coming that refers to the new birth. The sentence structure indicates that it's the Father's drawing that ensures that Christ will...

    Come Unto Me

Coming to Christ indicates a movement toward Him, so in that sense it might be considered "a change in spiritual location". Any movement toward Christ is a movement away from Adam. But I believe that there's a difference between being created in Christ and coming to Christ. I believe that the...

    Come Unto Me

John 3:16-21 parallels coming to Christ with believing on Christ. The passage is "a scriptural invitation", but it also confirms that only those who "doeth truth" choose to come to Christ. Since, naturally, there is "none that doeth good, no not one" and "every one that doeth righteousness is...

    Come Unto Me

A study on coming to Christ And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. No man can come to me, except the Father...

Not a test, just a study sheet. But you're right that I'm a newbie.

    Called According to His Purpose

A study of Paul's use of the word call. 1 Corinthians 1. What is the gospel to those who haven't been called? But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a ___________, and unto the Greeks ___________; But unto them which are ___________, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and...
