    Rightly dividing 2 Thessalonians 2:13

I don't know anything about Romans or Pharaohs, you would have to talk to someone else who does.

    Rightly dividing 2 Thessalonians 2:13

Only certain ones! I get along fine with many here who hold the doctrines of Grace. I can even get along with you, K.

    Rightly dividing 2 Thessalonians 2:13

It's never been God's will for anyone to perish, man chose that for himself. Even the example of Pharaoh when God hardened his heart, it was the result of God's foreknowledge knowing he he would rebel to the end. It was not God' will for him to perish, but God did make an example of him as a...

    Rightly dividing 2 Thessalonians 2:13

Sovereignty taken to extremes. I read in the Scripture of a God that so loved the world He gave... A God long suffering with man not willing that any should perish. But you see what you see.

    The sheep and the goats?

The first one is the promise to save all of Israel, He never made that promise to the Church. When Paul said that there can be no mistake he was speaking of his countrymen, the Jews.

Would you visit the North Pole, South Pole or Both?

That would be a noble calling. Do you feel being led in that direction?

Would you visit the North Pole, South Pole or Both?

It may be one of those Jonah situations at first. I haven't been to the North Pole but I've been to Northern Alaska in Jan.-Feb. 40 below at night, the sun never makes it over the tree line, huge lakes frozen solid. A place Bear Grylls would think twice about going.

    Rightly dividing 2 Thessalonians 2:13

Yea, that sounds like that Calvinist God.

    Rightly dividing 2 Thessalonians 2:13

Don't let it be said I'm not sociable, we can talk about the weather, what you're going to plant in your garden next spring, or maybe sports. But the Scripture, nah, that's not for us.

    Rightly dividing 2 Thessalonians 2:13

I think I've already answered that a few posts back.

    Rightly dividing 2 Thessalonians 2:13

That's a sad thing to read in someone's post. "He chose them to be lost." But it is what it is.

    Rightly dividing 2 Thessalonians 2:13

LOL, I might have to agree with you there, BF, if we were talking about something other than this.

    Rightly dividing 2 Thessalonians 2:13

So you would know I 'm longer responding to your posts. I'll eventually get around to all the Calvinists, and we can be one big happy family.

    Rightly dividing 2 Thessalonians 2:13

I like the last sentence. That one works for me.

    Rightly dividing 2 Thessalonians 2:13

@Brightfame52 God already knows from before the foundation of the world who will be saved. He calls, you accept of your own free will, and you have already been predestined to salvation through the sanctification of the Spirit.

    Rightly dividing 2 Thessalonians 2:13

If that works for you then go for it.

    Rightly dividing 2 Thessalonians 2:13

No, let's get this straight right now, no misunderstanding! Your God is not the God I know and serve by your own definition!
  18. C

    Rightly dividing 2 Thessalonians 2:13

What you can't understand, or won't understand, not sure on that, is that IF man accepts the call of God to salvation, then he is chosen by God to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit. The emphasis is on the being chosen to the "sanctification of the Spirit."

    Rightly dividing 2 Thessalonians 2:13

I've already shown you that God can call and man can refuse. God chooses those who choose Him, the ones that accept the call.

    Who are Jesus disciplines?

Yep, the spirit of the anti-Christ. The Scripture is not inspired, just go ahead read it as any other book. Lord, help us!
