What/Why is Primary Purpose of Sunday Morning Church Service

The primary purpose of church should be setting under Godly Biblical teaching so as to grow in our walk with the Lord so when we leave, we live lives honoring to Christ and WE can share the gospel.

    What are Cowboy Churches?

According to scripture for a man there is a problem with any kind of head covering in the presence of God. 1Cor. 11:4

    What are Cowboy Churches?

Cowboy churches are churches that decide how they will follow God instead of how God says how to follow Him.

    Forgiveness

Unity at all costs is not unity at all but rather compromise through error. Forgiveness does not always mean full reinstatement. Look at how God did with David. He forgave him but He also would not allow him to build the Temple.

The Thousand Year Reign of Christ on the Earth

Thank you very much for the reply. I would point out something. First, I assume you are referring to Mat. 24 not 25. Secondly scripture does not say that He gathers/collects His elect from all over the world. It says in verse 31; And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and...

    Mathew 3:11

While my understanding is not set in stone I do think that the fire part is a judgment fire. The reason is that John is rebuking/warning the Pharisees to be sure that they are first repenting. I can understand how this could also be seen as a purifying fire of the saved. It seems that scholars...

    Mathew 3:11

In Mat. 3:11 we read. I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: My question is what is the meaning of the "fire" Is it the judgement side for...

    Eating-Out on Sunday??

I am not saying that pastor is wrong. He did what he did unto the Lord. That being said there may be other ways to look at this. By the way it is a personal conviction. What if eating out on Sunday gave you the only time that the waiter/waitress could be witnessed to? How about once the...

The Thousand Year Reign of Christ on the Earth

So here is my question. Are you saying that Jesus does not return to earth at all or that He returns and then leaves again during the 1000 year rule?

Is same sex attraction a temptation or sinful lust?

James 1: 14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

    A New Creature

In reading the OP my conclusion is that Mr. Kenny Dyess goes too far. We are clearly told that we will know them by their fruits. So yes, a change in lifestyle can and should be an indicator of salvation. I do agree that we should not claim the change as if we did it but that it was done in us...

    Given, Granted or Allowed?

We are born unable to believe. We are dead in our trespasses and sins. Dead people cannot respond to life without being enabled. God must enable us before we can believe. All that He enables will come to the Son. We are also unable to repent unless God enables us. Acts 11:18 When they heard...

The Son of God has always been the LORD God.

Well your Hebrew passage does not support your claim. As for the Psalm passage are you saying that the 2nd person of the Trinity was called Jesus before His incarnation? What I know for sure is that the Person we call Jesus (Yeshua) was called the Word before the incarnation.

The Son of God has always been the LORD God.

The problem with your claims you have to deny scripture, John 1:1, 14. Also, you still have not answered the question. How (in what way) was He the Son?
  15. Judith

The Son of God has always been the LORD God.

I accept scripture where He is called the Word, not the Son. In the beginning was the Word, not in the beginning was the Son.

The Son of God has always been the LORD God.

You did not answer the question. What makes Him the Son?

Where Is Office Of Evangelist Who Is Not A Pastor Or Missionary

Paul did not always pastor a church. Mostly he was an evangelist. If we try and divide the times he was pastoring as a calling and the times as an evangelist as not a calling that would be a mistake. Both are callings, but as in any area not all who put on the robe are actually called.

The Son of God has always been the LORD God.

JonC thank you for the question. I think we all can agree that the Godhead is beyond our understanding. We have applied terms to explain it the best we can, but sometimes I think we go too far instead of just accepting what scripture provides. In this discussion I would say yes the Father, the...

The Son of God has always been the LORD God.

The Trinity today is The Father, the Son and the Spirit. Prior to the incarnation it was the father, the Word, and the Spirit.
