Good! I was going to send an admin a message to request it be closed. The way some people talk to each other in this thread and others I’ve read is sad.

Never said it affected me personally. But please tell me how many arguments on this forum alone, you’ve seen regarding translations. I do pick, not what I like, but what I feel the Holy Spirit leading me to read and study from.

Do you mind me asking what translation that is?

I’m not saying every single publisher is doing it to make a buck. And I’m looking forward to the full LSB to be printed. At some point there has to be a line drawn however.

I feel Lockman might have made a grave mistake when they drastically updated the NASB translation. The 95 revision was intended to be a very literal translation, which I don’t find reads as “wooden” as some critics say. The 2020 revision I feel is less literal, has gone more of the dynamic...

They’ve added “and sisters” in italics after the word “brothers” in MANY places. That’s probably the biggest example I can give you because it’s the one that stands out the most.

The NASB2020 has included gender-accurate language however.

I also have the NET, but only consult it for the footnotes, not the actual translation.
