    Why Witness?

We till the ground, we plant the seed, we water, but God alone causes the increase: He alone calls out some from the realm of darkness into His marvelous light. So why till the ground, prepare the field, plant and water if it serves no purpose in harvesting the fields white for harvest? ~Van...

    ESV 2025 - Change notes

First were printing errors. Then there were spelling changes. Like we don’t spell old as olde now. And our is no longer written as ovr. We use a u instead of a v. That’s a sample. I don’t know of any actual changes to text meanings. Personally, I use my KJB on my phone and I split-screen...

    Not going to Church???

I grew up in the Primitive Baptist Church. You’re right—they’re good, kind people. I disagree with double predestination.

What do you do when a Local neighborhood Church doesn’t get back to you?

Herbert Armstrong founded the movement with a mixture of Seventh day Adventism, Judaism, and I think some Watchtower Society (Jehovah Witness) influence. Garner Ted Armstrong was his son, though later discredited by the organization. Herbert published the Plain Truth magazine for years, which...

    Not going to Church???

Good qustions. They’re old, jaded, worn out, and probably were taught to sit still and quiet. Yes, the pastor is a good friend. He tries to stir them up, encourage them. I try through some new music and select readings from Scripture and exhortations.

    The sheep and the goats?

No. When a Jew or a Gentile is born again and placed into the body of Christ, then there is no difference between that Jew and that Gentile. They are new creations in Christ. It does not matter if Abraham was their father according to the flesh. What matters is they are Abraham‘s children...

    The sheep and the goats?

And Galatians 3:8, where it says “ nations” it is the word “ethnos”, which is the word used to refer to Gentile heathen nations, not to Israel or Jews.

    The sheep and the goats?

No, it is not. Israel and the church are separate entities. The promises, the church are heavenly. The promises to Israel, to be fulfilled during the millennium, are earthly. The remnant of Israel that is now saved are in the church, just like Gentiles. The rest of Israel will not be saved until...

    The sheep and the goats?

Yes. There’s no difference between Jew and Greek; all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. The church is all the saved. However, the church is not Israel and Israel is not the church. The verses in Revelation 21 references Old Testament saints, Heaven’s foundation for all saints; it...

    The church is not Israel.

Where Did Our Faith Come From?

Men love darkness because their deeds are evil. Men love deafness because their deeds are evil. They have eyes and ears; they willfully close them. Why? Because their deeds are evil, and they love to have it so. They can see and hear—if they want to.

Where Did Our Faith Come From?

It comes from receiving the Word of God when it’s read or heard.
