When is shedding the blood of another not murder?

    C. Everrett Koop said that in his time as an OB (36 years) he never saw a reason for an abortion. If the mother's life is in danger then the baby is carried as long as possible, then a C section is performed with the intention of saving both lives. The "pro-life" and pro-abortion movements don't...

My thoughts and questions on "Ten Reasons Primitive Baptists Are Not Calvinists."

I believe Gill and his congregation financially supported Whitfield's ministry

When is shedding the blood of another not murder?

So then is God's word the objective truth, yes or no? Logical reasoning does not determine truth - John 16:13, John 17:17 etc. Aside from the fact that there is no logic outside of God/truth, to try and divorce logic from God is how you get pregnant men. I don't reason from a godless secular...

    President Trump's Cabinet

My concern with him is the Moscow Cult he is part of.

My thoughts and questions on "Ten Reasons Primitive Baptists Are Not Calvinists."

Being chosen before the foundation of the earth ( as the Bible says ), and being given faith do not equate to "you never have to trust in God." No one holding to the calvinistic view in this thread has exemplified pride in holding to election, the only pride I have seen is from you. I'm not...

My thoughts and questions on "Ten Reasons Primitive Baptists Are Not Calvinists."

No, I'm saying that you are guilty of slander in regards to what we hold to, accusing a brother of not being saved, and making a very ugly/prideful statement akin to "I'll be in heaven, whether you are or not makes no difference to me." Repentance is appropriate. I'm surprised that mods didn't...

Has KJV-only teaching affected the Bible doctrine of salvation?

Frankly, cultic KJV onlyism is a different religion. Riplinger, Hyles and the rest add to and take away from the gospel.

My thoughts and questions on "Ten Reasons Primitive Baptists Are Not Calvinists."

That was quite an odd statement from a man who would object to Calvinism because it makes God "unloving."

My thoughts and questions on "Ten Reasons Primitive Baptists Are Not Calvinists."

What an ugly thing to say. No one would hold it against you if you repented of that.

Has KJV-only teaching affected the Bible doctrine of salvation?

Hyles was a heretic, and gross immorality ran rampant in his congregation. I assume you are using "determinism" and "Calvinism" interchangeably? The problem I have with your view is that it demands God show mercy to all, otherwise He is unjust. To be frank, I find most who would subscribe to...

    Fundamentalism Versus Evangelicalism

I'm not a fan of the KJV (due to it's antiquated language), but I can at least respect a KJV best position. That said the "onlyists" I have seen have been conspiracy theorists and scripture twisters. I received a copy of Ripplinger's book from an individual who tried to convince me of the KJVO...

When is shedding the blood of another not murder?

"personal belief" does not determine truth. Regardless of whatever one is taught to believe if it contradicts truth/what God says, then it is false. Whether one believes the unborn is a life is irrelevant, God says it is, and so it is.

Has KJV-only teaching affected the Bible doctrine of salvation?

Anyone who repents and places their faith in Jesus Christ alone as their Lord and Savior.

Has KJV-only teaching affected the Bible doctrine of salvation?

Yes it has. People like Jack Hyles would/do say that you can't be saved unless you read the KJV. They say that that is the "incorruptible seed" while anyone who would read say the NIV are reading a corruptible seed - thus the gospel is only the gospel if it is read in the KJV.

Penal Substitution Atonement Theory - Question

No. God in His sovereignty uses all sorts of means to accomplish His will. Satan was used as a means to accomplish His will for Job.

Being sinful is now a mental health issue?

Are these people mentally ill, or suffering from legalistic attitudes brought about by spiritual attacks, or lack of discipling?

Being sinful is now a mental health issue?

Suicidal individuals, schizos, and apparently sinners. I suppose the questionnaire was created by a group of secular humanists who regard religion (specifically Christianity) as a mental disorder/crutch for feeble individuals, but see men wearing dresses as completely normal.
