    What is your response?

What is your response to Christians who don't celebrate Christmas, due to its "pagan" origins?

The NASB: Is it really that difficult to understand?

The NASB: Is it really that difficult to understand? I can certainly relate to those who might have some difficulties reading and understanding the KJV (given the archaic language). But I often hear people saying they experience difficulties reading the NASB as well. Personally, I really...

    KJV Preferred

I happen to be one of those individuals who believes that the NIV tends to attract a bit more criticism than it actually deserves. I imagine it's due to the NIV's longstanding popularity and success, for the most part. From my personal point of view, it's the New Living Translation (NLT)...

English Standard Version (ESV) vs. New American Standard Bible (NASB)

ESV vs. NASB Two "literal," "word for word" Bible translations. Of the two, which do you prefer? And what is the reasoning behind your preference? Thanks for your time and effort!

Did you grow up using the King James Bible?

Did you grow up using the King James Bible? If so, and you later transitioned to a different translation, which Bible did you transition to? If not, which Bible translation did you initially use? And do you still use that same translation? Thanks in advance for your input!

    The Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

I've really come to appreciate the CSB, because it reads like the ESV, but without the "Yoda Speak."

    The Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

The CSB is more "literal" than the NIV, but less "literal" than the ESV.

    The Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

Yes, the HCSB and the CSB are different. In my opinion, the CSB is the superior Bible translation.

    The Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

Although the HCSB used "Yahweh," the CSB does not (as far as I can tell).

The New King James Version (NKJV) vs. the English Standard Version (ESV)

From what I understand, many Christians who used to utilize the NKJV as their primary Bible translation have transitioned to the ESV. If you happen to be one of those individuals, what motivated you to make the change?

    The Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

For those of you who have used the CSB, I'd like to know your thoughts and opinions regarding this Bible translation. What do you like about it? What do you dislike about it? And, finally, would you recommend it to others?

    If you weren't Baptist...

I'd probably be part of a PCA church.

    ESV vs NKJV

Yes, I appreciate the capitalization of pronouns referring to God. On the other hand, I know there are some people who find that "interpretive"

    ESV vs NKJV

I'm finding the frequent updates to the text of the ESV rather frustrating.

    ESV vs NKJV

I've been spending a great deal of time, lately, in both translations (reading and comparing various passages) and I have to admit: I'm actually beginning to form a preference for the NKJV. And I find the scripture memorization seems to be much easier, when committing to the NKJV. (Just my...
