2Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Do you ever interpret a text by its context?

John is talking about the difference between the unglorified state now compared to the glorified state at Christ's return.

Now lost people have no spiritual sight and live in a fantasy world of make believe.

Now saved people have limited spiritual sight or understanding due to the hinderance of indwelling sin and other limitations due to our present unglorified state.

John is simply saying that when we are glorified those hinderances that restrict us from seeing things more clearly will be resolved and we shall see him as he is - King of kings and Lord of lords in all his glory.

Hbr 10:2 Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered, because the worshipers, having once been cleansed, would no longer have had consciousness of sins?​

The writer of Hebrews makes the point that, we know we are still in a fallen world because we still have the consciousness of sin. The implication here is that after our full restoration to God, there will be no more consciousness of sin.

When Jesus returns in the Cloud, our body that was sown in the earth, will come out with a body like Christ's. With these new eyes, we will be able to see God face-to-face, and not die. We will live forever in the presence of Him.
