I really have no interest in it....particularly after it was used to put my child in hell & give me & my wife responsibility for it however I am interested in how man can actually make it more deplorable.....now you got CT & "New" CT.......God help us! And this is what they teach in your churches.....
I'm sorry I missed your reply for so long.
It seems a little perverse of you to ask for information on something in which you have no interest. However, I'm sorry to learn that you have had a bad experience in the past, but whatever you were told, I can assure you it had nothing to do with Covenant Theology, at least, not the Baptistic version of it.

No, it in fact was Presbyterian (good reason why I am a Baptist today). Last year, one of there OPC Pastors came back & did apologize for their damming accusations, but the damage has been done. Now my brother, who is a Baptist IFB Pastor & a Calvinist in Soteriology, holds to dispensational theology. I personally don't think that dispensationalism in many ways has the full scrutiny of good qualified theologians.

For the record, I don't see Covenant Theology as my platform either. There is no "Covenant of Works" proclaimed to Adam nor is there a covenant of grace proclaimed after the fall. These are merely bad theological constructs
(which totally fails to deal with Israel and the church)

Therefore I prefer to wait on new emerging theologies that I'm confident will do a better job of detailing what God has truly revealed in scriptures. :) That I do have an interest in.

Some RB churches subscribe to the 1st London Baptist Confession of Faith because it, in their opinion, allows them to old to New Covenant Theology. I don't have time to get into NCT in detail right now but suffice to say that I believe it is an error plagued systematic theology.

I hope you can explain your statement in greater detail....either publicly or privately.

The 1st London Confession has a view of the Trinity that is more biblical than the later Westminster and London Confessions.

I noticed that some time back. At least that was my opinion. Or perhaps it just that the 1st London Confession fit what I already believed.
