Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
What is your understanding of what this verse means to be "partakers of the divine nature"?
part of John 3:6&7 and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. Rom 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, (
having the spirit of adoption ) and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that,
when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. verse 9
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
BTW that last verse does not say anything about practicing it says cannot.
Luke 20:36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and
are the children of God,
being the children of the resurrection.
