The following is probably fitting for any of us at any given time, but there are a few posters that can't seem to get past the first line of this quote; and I don't mean their perspective or beliefs that, to me anyway, are out in left field! This condition seems to be primarily in 2 categories - C vs A, & Political!!!!! They, incidentally, seem convinced that they are the fulfillment of the last line.
What I mean is their relentless condemnation/ridicule/attempted shaming of any they do not agree with, accompanied by a recorder type repeating of their own judgments & biases as if their points (?) are provable facts. They never consider the remote possibility that with some editing/softening of their emotional outbursts others just may sincerely consider any actual points, when actually stated, that may be made.

"He who knows not, and knows not that he knows not, is a fool - shun him

He who knows not, and knows that he knows not, is a child - teach him

He who knows, and knows not that he knows, is asleep - wake him

He who knows, and knows that he knows, is wise - follow him.
"

Thankfully there are only a few who fit the opening paragraph, but IMHO, this is a VERY GOOD reason for the "IGNORE" option, even though some(?) consider it immature or whatever; & if the staff were of this mind, why is it still an option!!??

Most of the posters seem to be very strong in whatever they post about - which is great, & I appreciate that - without the emotional palaver of those mentioned in the first paragraph. There is a lot of good info bandied about here, pro/con virtually any topic & it's a pleasure to follow a thread laden with info, but w/out garbage input of the "LINE 1" posters who think they are "LINE2".

It is a sad reality that stupid people do not know they are stupid, they think everyone else knows about the same or less than they do. Intelligent people, aware of their profound ignorance, consistently try to listen and learn. Christ tells us to treat others as we would want to be treated, with compassion. I often find myself in the Line 1 category, having thought something was true, but alas it was false. For example, when I was first trained in bible study, I learned many of my views were glosses, generalized views that missed the nuance of God's word.
