Simmering racial tensions boiled over yet again on Monday when a small group of white men allegedly shot five people who had been protesting the recent police killing of an African American man in Minneapolis.

A group of suspected white supremacists fired into a crowd of Black Lives Matter activists protesting the Minneapolis police killing of Jamar Clark.

At least five people were wounded when the gunmen opened fire about 10:45 p.m. Monday at the city’s Fourth Precinct, reported the Star Tribune.

Police said all five victims were treated for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, although authorities said additional victims may have been wounded and sought treatment on their own.

Investigators have not released much information so far about the possible suspects, saying only they were seeking three white men, but protesters said they had a pretty clear idea of who fired the gunshots.

“A group of white supremacists showed up at the protest, as they have done most nights,” said Miski Noor, a Black Lives Matter activist.

Another demonstrator said one of the three men wore a mask and stayed at the protest site since early morning Monday, taunting the protesters.

What's kinda funny is you get the same thing when a white person kills a black person. You also rarely hear alleged white suspect. Or police are looking for a "white male".

Wait a minute...there is an encampment outside a police station and for a couple of days in a row white people would come down to the area and heckle the BLM people. Finally it turned ugly. How is that BLM using bullying and intimidation tactics?

Since they've arrived it's been mostly quiet. Signs and banners are seen and mostly people just mill around trying to keep warm. They've said they won't leave until the police videos are released.

BLM has a history of trying to bully or intimidate counterdemonstrators. They even threatened reporters to leave their "zone", but only if they were white. They also refused to allow other organizations to demonstrate with them in support of their cause...if they were white.

Someone in the counterdemonstrators reacted violently. That sometimes happens when you're bullied or threatened one too many times. It's just a fact.

Yes, the blacks tried to move the white people away from the encampment but as they got further away they realized the whites were cooperating with being led away as a ploy to trap the black demonstrators. When the group of blacks were isolated about a block away from the rest of the demonstrators the shooting started.
