I would grab the cashier by the head, shake her violently while yelling, "Come out of her foul spirit."

So that was the reason for that last "24-48" hours courtesy of the JP?

Actually, I did have a clerk at a restaurant refuse to tell me the amount (6.66). She just pointed at the register. I kept asking her the amount. But she refused. That was down in Bluefied, West Virgina.

Had an old church van with the license plate "666 - YEA"

It wasn't a vanity plate, the number just came up.

Many of my church member have 666-**** for phone numbers. And, they wonder why I don't call them.

LOL, when our bank sold out to a different co a few years ago, the new company added a few digits to our account numbers. They added 1000 to the beginning of the string and then repeated the last digit of the original string. The last two digits of one of my accounts was 66 so now, that account number ends in 666. :D *I* didn't even notice until several months later when one of the cashiers asked me didn't it bother me. I told her what bothered me most was the fact that I could never seem to keep any money in the account, but I didn't think it had anything to do with the number rather more to do with the fact that I used that account for special projects and only kept enough in it to cover the current one!

Now my bank has been sold again. I'm just waiting to see what they change my numbers into this time!

I'd do one better.

Grab & shake...but say, "Cashier, come out of that demon!"

Then I'd wait to see if she got the joke.

If she laughed, then she got it.

If she pressed charges, she didn't.

As, or after, paying the bill and the checker looked like it meant something to him or her, and if it happened to be register #6, I would say, "It just refers back to the sick 60's, Six."

It happens frequently where I work. Buying a certain brand of cigarettes and a paper or cup of coffee will equal $6.66.
