I remember sitting for hours listening to my great grandmother talking about her experiences. She was born in the late 1800's (her father fought in the Civil War). She lived to 103 and by her self until she was 102 (she broke her hip).
I think we live in a culture that does not value our elderly, at least not as we should. Wisdom is something that is given by God, often over our lifetime. Had we had better ears I doubt we, as a nation, would be where we are now.
