A better and more precise discription than "Penal Substitution?"

Can you provied a better label to describe Christ's receiving payment in exchange and on behalf of us sinners? And any denial is not acceptable!

Please post a concise answer or do no post at all.

Romans 5:8, ". . . But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. . . ,"

Romans 6:23, ". . . For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. . . ."
