Its hard to take a reviewer seriously who has to resort to such potty talk. Be warned - the language is quite offensive.

The real problem is non-Christians will believe much of what is said. We must be aware of what is going on- so when opportunity arises, we are prepared to present true Christianity in a positive light.

I agree with C4K that the reviewer didn't need to use the offensive language. But if you strip that out I suspect the criticism is probably accurate. Note: I haven't seen Fireproof but I've seen other Christian movies like Left Behind, The Bible Code, Time Changer, etc. That criticism would be:

    1. The movie is overly preachy. (Yeah, probably is, but good for it!)

    2. The firefighting scenes aren't a large part of the movie, and aren't very good. (I suppose this is probably true, based on the other Christian productions I've seen.)

    But then there is this:

Fireproof is better than its devout, intrusive, overly-religious plot might first indicate. Kirk Cameron comes off as a realistic and grounded firefighter. His wife has more depth and more of a storyline than your average throwaway female character, and the cinematography is on par with the majority of Hollywood dramas.

This excerpt is actually a pretty good endorsement of the overall production values and writing. I might have to rent Fireproof and see for myself. Rarely do secular critics admit this about Christian movies.

It's been my experience that Christian movies are poorly acted, have poor production values (lighting, sound, special effects, editing), and are overly preachy. Time Changer is a prime example of this. It's easy for born-again believers to be thrilled with the fact that there is a movie that espouses our values to the point of ignoring or being blind to the fact that the production is ghastly.

Fireproof is an excellent movie and nothing about the critic is worth considering. Someone who is a foul mouth cannot have a mindset that would allow him to understand the things of God. It is most likely the nasty minded response of this critic is a result of fight the conviction within himself.

True, but that doesn't mean the reviewer can't recognize a well-produced and well-acted movie. He actually praised the movie in that excerpt I quoted.

Yeah, probably, unless he uses that type of language in most of his reviews.

I don't care what he praises or criticizes.

You aren't very consistent, are you? You just recently started a thread entitled, "No one can sum it up better than Trump". Yes, Donald Trump, that great moral compass of us all!
