I didn't know Gayla, but her family is in my prayers. May God heal them quickly. raying:

 

My sister in Christ, and a sister in our joint battle against breast cancer, I will miss her so much. She bolstered me when I was down, she joked with me when I needed a lift, and she prayed for me when I had my mastectomy and chemo.

My heart and my love goes to her family, and I praise God that she is out of her pain and in Heaven - I am standing on the Promises of Christ my Lord!

Thanks everyone! I haven't been around the computer much this week, and am just now reading these. Funeral is today (Friday) at 2 pm. The church where many of my family attend, Southwest Baptist in Okla City, has been extremely gracious and helpful during this time, and has been since Gayla arrived back here in July. And not just because we have known Pastor Davison since 1967 when Gayla was 3, I believe that this is just the regular way they are, just like a church family should be.

Thanks to the ladies who sent flowers, they arrived yesterday. A lovely bouquet of pink roses.

Well, I need to start getting ready to go. Thanks for all the prayers. Carl thanks you too. He doesn't have internet access at the moment, so I am printing off messages to take to him.

Yes, My dear wife's body was laid to rest today. I will miss her dearly. My kids surprised me, they wanted to stay to see the pink casket lowered into the ground...I'm sure they'll let things out as time goes on. Pray that God gives me the answers. I picked a poem that fit gayla to a T. It is entitled " God Saw You"

God saw you tired
and a cure was not to be
So he put his arms around you
and whispered "Come to me"
With tearful eyes we watched
you and saw you pass away,
and though we loved you dearly,
we could not ask you to stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
hands were put to rest.
God touched our hearts
and proved to us,
He only takes the best.

I think that fit the whole saga to a T.
