A drug made from marijuana reduced back pain in a large study

“Over-the-counter pain relievers like ibuprofen can’t be used for long-term pain because of their side effects, which include stomach ulcers and indigestion. Opioids are no longer recommended, after the overprescribing of painkillers such as OxyContin in the 1990s and 2000s led to the ongoing epidemic of addiction to that class of drug.”

I heard that there is a component in the male marijuana plant, which has very little THC, that is very helpful to people who are suffering from cancer. It's apparently very helpful for both the pain and sickness (nausea) from the disease and the treatment. It's not the THC, but it's the CBD, Cannabidiol.

The growers with experience, who have spliced genes to create marijuana with very high THC levels, have also created plants with no THC, but very high levels of CBD, Cannabidiol. CBD is not psychoactive and does not produce a "high" like THC (tetrahydrocannabinol).

I think it's called Hemp. Don't quote me on that.

I really don’t know what youse guys are talking about. my wife’s got a pain doctor because she has stage 4 cancer and this doctor provides tramadol, opioid pills and has suggested fentanyl patch for back pain. Isn’t Fentanyl severe?

I think you can get the basic stuff in Walmart, now. I just googled "where can I buy CBD, Cannabidiol?". It gave a list of stores near me. It might be worth a try. Go into one of those weed shops and ask the guy working there. They probably know more about it that I ever will.

Google "premium cbd for cancer pain and nausea relief".

Sorry for your wives illness. Sometimes doctors and medication suppliers work hand in hand. There may be ethical challenges due to potential conflicts of interest. You'll need to do some research. All I know is that cbd apparently helps with the pain and nausea from Cancer and it's treatments.

Dave, they are not allowed to market the pot to clients via suggesting it for cancer pain, they already told me that. Nutrition is a key ingredient for fighting cancer and I make sure mywife eats correctly. Steve Jobes did not die of the cancer he had, he died because he went on a strict diet meant to control the cancer…very dangerious for anyone with the cancer.

Hey EWF

They must be talking about the weed with THC. I'm speaking of the weed that has no THC. It won't get you high. But the component that helps with the pain and nausea, CBD, it has that. The Hemp, which doesn't have THC, is legal everywhere. You'll see it as an ingredient for skin care, shampoo, it's used for a lot of stuff. Like I said, Walmart apparently has it now.

Yes, the diet is very important for fighting cancer. I was only speaking of managing the pain from cancer and it's treatment, like Kemo, not fighting cancer.

Concerning the diet, they say that your body has two states, called alkaline and acidic. In the acidic state a person can get cancer. In the alkaline state they cannot. And putting ones body into the alkaline from the acidic state can even fight and reverse the cancer. If you read the internet, according to the FDA, this too is a myth and dangerous. Why does the same industry promote proper diet as treatment? Because they just incorporate that with their treatment. They still make their money. Apricot core pills are only available in Mexico. They banned them here in the U.S. as they were getting results. The FDA, I don't know, I wouldn't trust them.

I worked with a guy who's father had a tumor. He went to Mexico and got some of those pills that are basically apricot cores ground up into powder and pressed into pills. His tumor shrunk and eventually was completely gone. I have no way to confirm it though. I know the FDA, for whatever reason seems to be hell bent on stopping that stuff. To protect us or the health care industry? They no doubt will make up claims that these things are harmful in some way. Who do you believe? Remember, that same government used to baulk at these same dietary cures of putting ones body into an alkaline state. Now that they cannot hide from them any longer, they embrace them and incorporated them into their remedies. There's lots of books out on this stuff right now about how these diets alone can fight and cure cancer. It never hurts to hear the other side. Talk to people who are dietary doctors and not part of the medical machine. I'm not a doctor, just a guy with an opinion. But ask questions, and have a look around. It can't hurt.

I'm sorry for your wife's predicament. I hope and pray things work out for you and her.
