Greetings and Salutations from Perris Valley California,
I know that this section is for Introductions, but, I'd like to impose upon this section to take the time to bid you farewell. If you think about it, this is an appropriate use of this section. We use it to say hello, so why not let it be a place to say goodbye?
Like Jimmy Todd and the Mouse-keteers would sing at the end of each show, "Now it's time to say goodbye to all our 'company'" I, too, would like to say "Goodbye" to all those members of the Baptist Board that I have either locked arms with, or locked horns with, over the past few years.
This isn't a forever farewell, just a much need sabbatical leave to give me the time to seriously get into writing my third book. And while I'd love to remain active on the Board, the time spent on this, and other boards, eats into the time I need to spend working on my book.
So, let me say goodbye to the many, many wonderful folks that I've counted it a joy to converse with here on the board. There are so many wonderful folks on this board, and I will truly miss engaging with them in the coming days, weeks and months. It has been a joyous privilege to share from my heart, and have you, in return, share back from your hearts. I also, appreciated you sincere prayers during my major health struggle this past summer. I know that it was your prayers, and those of so many others in cyberland, that moved the hand of God to have mercy on me and bring about the miracles needed to get me out of that hospital bed, and back on my feet.
At this time, it will probably be about a year before I can return to the Board, so I pray for all of you to be blessed with great health, safety where ever you may go, and His special Favor in your life, walk, and ministry for Him and His Kingdom here on Earth!
I'd also like to bid farewell to those members who thought it necessary to be sarcastic, hurtful, and, at times, just plain mean when it came to the words I shared from my heart. I don't blame you, because I know from whom, such unkind words can form and spew forth. Still, it is my prayer that God show you how your words of discouragement can scar and deeply hurt those who only desired to share a piece of their heart and soul in regard to current events, and national issues. Maybe somewhere down the line, those of you that seem to live each day to mock the thoughts of other brothers and sisters will see that Jesus would not resort to the kind of words and thoughts you depend upon to "bring down" another brother or sister's postings in an attempt to protect what you percieve to be your personal Board, and social click.
In closing, let me say that what you call harmless, friendly debate, is not Christian in any form, and the day will come (Judgement Day is at hand) when you "clearly see" that what goes around, comes around....
All in all, the last few years have been a real "hoot" and I look forward to the day when I can devote the time to actively contribute to the thoughts and themes of this Board once again.
So, until that day, God Bless and keep all of you safe, and soundly grounded firmly in His Word, until He returns for His church here on earth. :wavey:
Shalom,
