In a sign that does not bode well for the GOP Establishment in the aftermath of the election -- and possibly before it -- the National Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee (NRSC) is said to be deliberately undercutting the Senate campaign of Christine O'Donnell in Delaware.

When Sean Hannity asked O'Donnell herself about this on his Thursday radio show she was frank, saying the NRSC was not being a player in her campaign. She specifically cited support from the Republican National Committee and Senators Jim DeMint (SC) and Lamar Alexander (TN) as a contrast.

It sure sounds like deliberate NRSC sabotage of a Tea Party favorite.

I'm currently going back to school to complete a degree I left unfinished years ago and one of my professors is a state legislator and is a Republican.

We were talking politics and I mentioned to her that, while I'm still registered as a Republican, I feel like the GOP has abandoned its principles and left people like me behind, and that I'm far closer to being a Libertarian than I am a Republican anymore.

She just laughed and said, "Oh, if only you knew half of the things that go on in the Republican party leadership, you'd change your affiliation tomorrow".

Reagan would never be welcome in the GOP today. And if Reagan wouldn't be, then Goldwater certainly wouldn't be.

One of the reasons I didn't like Mike Castle was because of the unbelievably underhanded campaign he ran against O'Donnell (not that I'm an O'Donnell supporter) and the Republicans seem to be fighting against her the same way he did.

GOP leadership is petty and vindictive, putting their vision of what the party should look like ahead of the welfare of the country.

The same is true of democrats.

The guy she's running against is a communist cretin and they can't support her because she beat their guy?

What good are they?

Unless you live in a fusion state or commonwealth, you will only help the worst of 2 evils to get elected.
Here in NY, I am a member of the Conservative Party.

Remember Lincoln was elected (by less than 40% of the popular vote) only because the Dems had put up three candidates (by region)

BTW, Carl Paladino, Republician candidate for NY Governer did start the Taxpayers Party in NY. They will be on the ballot, not only the Goverer but several local races as well.

So voters will be able to cast a ballot for Palidano on the Republician, Conservative or Taxpayers line. Should be an interesing election.
The Jefferson County Independence Party dispanded, and now are supporting Paladino. - The State party is endorsing Cumo.

Paul, I know we disagree but after all the talk of what your statement means, I would have put you above such a statement. I rather enjoy the Tea Party movement, they are getting under the skin of the Republicans, Democrats and Libertarians. I'm a Republican who hasn't voted for a Republican for president since Reagan and this will be the second election that I will not be casting my vote for a Republican for governor.

They hate oppressive and overly restrictive government.

Tea party(ers) love their country, but have a problem with the way the government is run. Part of it is the 2 party system.

Since you are from the UK, I have a question.
How many parties are represented in the British House of Commons. Are they voted in by geographic area, or some other system?

Here's the answer: The 1992 presidential election...or better yet, the Florida senate race (simply switch "D" with "R," and you have your answer).

I'm surprised Hannity would even give this airtime, him being one of the establishment's major hacks and propagandists and all.

He himself did a right fine hachet job on Ron Paul for his establishment boss's not to long ago.

Republican establishment? Isn't it more like the Republican "wing" of the establishment? There's just the one establishment. Republicans and Democrats are both welcome to join providing they are willing to sell their country's soul and throw their fellow citizens under the bus for the "greater good" of the establishment they now serve.
