A little comic relief .....

OK, I wore a necklace to school yesterday that I like. In fact, I probably wear it 2-3 times a month. It's a long necklace with bright stones of various colors. It looks different against every shirt I wear it with. That's one of the reasons I like it.

Yesterday as school was letting out, I had my usual bus line duty. At my school each teacher is assigned to a bus. We hold up the name of the driver on a card and the children who ride that bus come and stand in line with us. It's only been four weeks and we don't spend much time with these children and I don't teach the children in my bus line, so I really don't know their names. I just them pony-tail girl, brown haired boy, little boy, and so forth. They just call me M'am or Lady.

Today in line, blonde-haired boy from the 3rd grade was eyeing my necklace.

He said, "M'am where'd you get that necklace?
Me: The store, I'm sure.
BHB: Well how much did you pay for it?
Me: I really don't know - probably $20 or so.
BHB: (Looking VERY flabbergasted and shocked) Well, you need to take THAT thing back!! It's just a bunch of JUNK tied together!!!!
Me: I sorta like it.
BHB: (merely shrugs)

And then they called our bus name - and off we went. :laugh: :laugh:

Today, he wanted to know if I had a piece of candy!!
