Which provide the "more perfect union," the Articles of Confederation, the US Constitution, the Confederate Constition?

Not which one claimed to do so but which one do you feel actually did so?

I would have to have all three documents in front of me before I could decide which to vote for. However, I believe the Mayflower Compact expresses my heart the best (all except the King part until the King of Kings comes to Rule and Reign. [IMG] )

    LadyEagle,
    Good suggestion....

The CSA Constitution is almost a identical to the US with only a few key differences on slavery and state sovereignty. But, interestingly enough, it bans all future import of new slaves from outside the CSA (See Article I, Section IX).

Also some good resources (including federalist and antifederalist papers) here:

We won the revolution in war and worked in a loose confederation until the intellectual elite took over and hijacked the revolution with a new constitution that embraced radical federalism

And we have not been the same since.

The absence of an executive, in itself, is probably the biggest advantage of the AoC over our Constitution. _Reassessing the Presidency : The Rise of the Executive State and the Decline of Freedom_ by John Denson is a good book on the subject.
