A Possible Virus

I'd guess they are not originating from your computer. Phishers send junk using your email address, but not from your machine.

I have them use one of my domains every now and then. They use it for a week or two and then move on to some other poor unsuspecting person. I've tried all the hints I've been able to dig up and have not figured out how to stop it.

 

Ya that is when I know they have done it to me, the emails get returned to me. You could contact your service provider and see if there is anything they can do, but I doubt it unless someone has learned something recently.

 

There are a few viruses that email themselves from an infected computer that has your email address. It will put your email addy as its origin and will mark itself as undeliverable, like it bounced back. They normally have an attachment. I forget what it is called.

I was getting them and thought for sure that someone had hijacked my email account, but I finally got to asking around and figured it out. I want to say the particular virus was "BlueSky" or something.
