The following was posted by an unamed moderator on page 1 of the thread Politics » Letter to President Bush from Jim Vineyard.

Given the havoc wreaked by Hurricane Katrina on the Gulf States does this lady qualify as a prophet[ess]?

How is President Bush to blame? He can't give away Israel's land.

    You mean, instead of saying
"I have a sinus headache" I can say "I have
    a Bush headache"?

The Gaza was Bush's deal because the USA paid for it. However, it was smart from a military standpoint since American public opinion would not allow Israel to secure the Gaza for Jews to live in. Israel is not allowed to hand the Arabs a total military defeat.

    Exactly.

Once again, Old Regular, you have proved nothing. I have not blamed President Bush for the hurricane and I am not in sync with Cindy Sheehan except I feel sorry for her loss.

I am not a prophetess and have never pretended to be. However, there are certain Biblical principles I do believe in, such as reaping and sowing. And standing with Israel.

Sorry you don't have more activities to occupy your time and feel the need to start these ridiculous threads. It must be nice to be rich.

    And standing with Israel.
</font>[/QUOTE]I agree. You should stand with Israel and support them when they choose to pull out of the Gaza Strip...or do you only support them when they agree with you? :D

    LE,

Are you ready to take a stand and say that God is punishing America down South because of the Gaza Pullout? If so, allow me to repeat my response to that ludicrous assertion:

I have never said that nor implied that, and actually, the thought never even crossed my mind.
This is more what I had in mind:

I've never implied nor said that at all.

Let me take a stand and put your minds at ease...I don't post in riddles or parables or proverbs. There is no point in reading between the lines in my posts, because there is nothing "hidden" in what is posted by me, because I am brutally direct. Got it?

Of course, some of you don't believe in this verse and will say it applies only to the OT Israel and is not relevent for today...

It is relevant for the people of God today, the church, not to any particular nation in existence today.

In the Old Testament it did apply to the nation of Israel once it came into existence.

That is not a Biblical principle in existence today. It is dispensational nonsense.

Oh, I forgot about the argument that it doesn't apply to America. Thanks for the reminder.

So America can merrily go on her way kicking God out of the public square, murdering the unborn, condoning sodomy, and a host of other wickedness and abominations and it doesn't matter to God?

You are overly sensitive. I did not accuse you of anything, merely quoted an unamed person and asked a question as follows?

Given the havoc wreaked by Hurricane Katrina on the Gulf States does this lady qualify as a prophet[ess]?

I will say this though. You dispensationalists need to make up your mind as to who God's people are, the Church for whom Jesus Christ died [Acts 20:28], or Israel.

Both since we Christians got grafted in.

    Romans Chapter 11

    God's Wife = Israel

    Bride of Christ = Church
