No…this Orthodox Church is different from the RCC….however it would be too complex to explain to those who have not studiously lived their particular religion.

If I may suggest, study Reformed theology in much greater detail …primarily because it evolved ( through confessions developments). For me anyway, it has for the time being evolved into the Primitive Baptist stance & viewpoint. We can discuss any of this in greater detail if you like.

The Eastern Church differs from the RCC in specific ways. The differing views led to a “schism” early in church history (about 800 AD?)

The Eastern church views the use of 3 dimensional objects (statues) as idol worship. They limit their “veneration” to 2 dimensional objects “paintings, stained glass”.

They have a “Patriarch”, instead of a Pope, that leads the church. I think there are differences in the leadership structure as well.

Many of the core doctrines are identical.

There are other differences that escape my memory right now.

Peace to you

Typically when people refer to the Eastern Church people assume they are speaking of The Orthodox Church. However, their are Eastern Rites of The Catholic Church in communion with Rome. The priests are often married in all Eastern churches. The liturgy of both Eastern Catholic and the Orthodox Church many times look almost identical. I remember being in NYC and seeing a Ukrainian Orthodox Church on one corner of the street and a Ukrainian Catholic Church on the next. Both churches were almost identical in liturgy and design

Do they differ concerning 3D and 2D veneration objects? Is their leadership model different?

Thanks for the comments

My pleasure,

They prefer icons over statues. Today there are more than twenty Eastern Catholic churches in union with the Pope; they include the Ukrainian, Maronite, Romanian, Melkite, Chaldean, Ruthenian, Coptic, Armenian, and others. Each has its own bishops and each is considered a “particular church,” but their parishes are just as Catholic as your local Latin Rite church. In total they're are about 17 million people.
