    Some have wondered about all the acronyms used in our threads. Not the BTW (by the way) or IMHO (in my humble opinion). Everyone learns those as they go on the 'net.

    I'm talking about debating translation styles and folks use FE v DE (Formal Equivalence - word for word) and (Dynamic Equivalence - thought for thought).

    Or OSAS (once saved always saved). Or TULIP.

    Lots more out there. Ready to share??

    Some from the SBC need to list THEIR schools acronyms. I didn't go to any so I get confused.

    SBC = Southern Baptist Convention
    PB = Primitive Baptist (or Plymouth Brethren if talking about Darby)
    CBA = Conservative Baptist Association
    GARBC = General Assoc of Regular Baptist Churches
    ABC = American Baptist Convention (used to be Northern Baptist Convention)
    BGC = Baptist General Conference (old Swedish Baptist)
    IFB = independent fundamental Baptist
    BBFI = Baptist Bible Fellowship, Intl
    SBF = Southwide Baptist Fellowship

    And one other group = TSITSPB

    Did ya'll know there is an on-line Acronym Finder??? I entered SBC and it gave me 58 possibles. Southern Baptist Convention was on page 2.

    Here's the link: http://www.acronymfinder.com/

    But be careful what you enter. It might not be family oriented.

    There's another one which is a list of secular terms that I know IS NOT family oriented so I won't post that one.
