    Three thoughts......

Cuba's health care system is often touted as superior to ours, so he must be in good hands, eh ?

Second, thanx for not saying "presidential" powers, as Castro has always been a dictator. Not an elected oficial.

Third, it's hard for me to imagine his brother is any worse than he is, Fidel has absolutely ruined a beautiful country.

Once he dies, it's widely believed that Communism in Cuba will fall. I wonder if the Cuban expats will go home.

Oh yeah, Raul the democrat. Cuba Libre! I doubt it.

But, BC, in that socialist paradise, medical treatment is free and equal. It's just that "some are more equal than others", as Mr. Orwell noted.

While I certainly hope I'm wrong, I just don't see it happening.

I heard on the news today that Roul is supposed to be even worse than Fidel. I wouldn't start celebrating too soon. The only good news is that his brother is 75 and therefore, probably won't live long either.

Communism failing there? Venezuela is pledging its support at 3 billion petro-dollars annually. The next in line among the jerks in Cuba is already counting his share of the loot.

It has been widely reported that even many people who see the need for change, do not want to do it in Castro's lifetime.

When he dies, a lot of pressure will be on Raul to do something.

Will it be like Franco or Tito?

Hard to say. But his death will present a chance for Cuba to at least have a better life.
