Age of Spouse/Prospective Spouse

My wife is a few years older than me. I would never think about marrying someone that much older than me. My wife would kill me.

 

Margo, it doesn't seem like a lot of years now... but when you're 60 and ready to retire and he's 70 and can't travel or is very ill........ My mother's second husband was 20 years older than her. The last 5 or so years of his life, SHE was very miserable. The last year, she even had to help him put on a diaper each day. She became very bitter toward him.

My husband is almost 4 years older than me and has really serious health conditions but he works a full time and a part time job plus all his church things.

 

My wife is almost 9 yrs older than I am. Marrying her was the best decision I ever made!!

 

My husband is only 5 years older then me,so I didn't vote.

 

My wife is almost 10 years younger than me. I was told by an old pastor, "Nothing makes you look younger in the pulpit than a young wife."

 

I don't think that age matters unless one is under the age of 18!

Our pastor's wife is 8 years younger and our music minister's wife is 8 years older.

 

My wife is four years younger than me. 14 yeras ago my wife and I visited a church and a lady came up to us and said, "It's so nice of you and your daughter to visit with us today." I look younger than I really am too.

 

I am 5 days older than DH, and my mom was 5 days older than my Dad. Awwwww.

 

I just got engaged last Sunday! I am 9 years older than my future wife!

 

So she's 12?

 

I am 1 year and 26 days older than my DH. He makes the joke all the time that he married an "older woman."

 

Rob is almost 11 years older than me and in April we will celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary, and there were those who said it wouldn't last...some of which were Baptists.

My father was 18 years older than my mother. They were married 48 years.

My ex was 18 years older than me. We were married 22 years too long.

I would not married another man who was over 5 to 8 years older than me.

 

Being middle aged and single if a fella showed that much interest in me I would not be toting up the years either way, be way too busy dragging him to the registry...hahahhah

 

Margo, the age difference was fine for my parents. She was the boss and he did what he was told and kept his mouth shut. It worked fine for them. LOL
Mine was deffinately too old for me. He treated me like I was a child and worse.
