Agenda Prevails Over Truth

Why are you bringing up old "Hatred for Bush" stuff. Is the news cycle to slow for you today?

I bring it up because I believe history is relevant to the situation we find ourselves in today.

I'm always trying to look at the big picture while the democrats and republicans try to focus only on that which will drive their own agenda, cover for the misdeeds of their "own" and make the "other side" look like the bad guys.

Truth takes a back seat to agenda.

Isn't that where you're trying to put it (truth) now, in the back seat? How does it help us find solutions to the problems we are facing if we keep trying to forget or hide the misdeeds of "our guys" be they democrats or republicans in the shadows and only focus on the misdeeds of the other side today?

Rome wasn't built in a day and the problems we face today didn't just happen when Obama took up residence in the WH.

And you're absoultely sure this link you posted is truthful?

Is this a debate or an inquisition?

You asked me a couple questions, I answered. I asked you a couple questions, and you asked me another.

What's missing here?

I'm sorry but I fail to see your questions? Please fire away.

I'm not in the mood to play silly games tonight. I don't know what your "agenda" is but I'm reasonably sure it's not to have a grown up discussion and rather than have this topic devolve into the same lame old rightie vs leftie babble I'm just going to . . . :sleeping_2:

You can read the article and come to your own conclusions.

It sure would be nice if we could dispense with all the nonsense and have a down to earth discussion about our problems. But we can't. Why? Well, you showed us why.

This article attempts to explain how agenda has trumped truth. How did you react?

Why are you bringing up old "Hatred for Bush" stuff.
You put agenda first.

Evidently the truth to you is whatever fits neatly inside your agenda.

Mr. Republican says . . . "How dare you question Bush?"

It's easy. He's proven himself to be a crook. But he's your crook so he's supposed to get a pass. Right?

Mr. Democrat says . . . "How dare you question Obama?"

It's easy. He's proven himself to be a crook. But he's your crook so he's supposed to get a pass. Right?

All the crooks in DC get a pass because we put agenda first. What a system. And where has this system of putting agenda first got us? To the brink of disaster.

I just want to know how long we are going to keep putting agenda ahead of truth? Because, as long as we keep putting agenda ahead of truth nothing is ever going to change for the better.

We'll just go on electing crooks and defending them and their crooked ways. Because they are our crooks and they follow our agenda.

Anything written by Roberts is going to have a hate Bush theme...and he doesn't mind lying through his teeth to make dubious points.

"9/11 was initially blamed on Afghanistan, and the blame was later shifted to Iraq."

Is an outright lie, growing out of his hate for Bush.

I like the subject, Poncho. Find a decent source.

Plus I think Poncho is juist picking a fight.

Could be.

He used one of his usual CT sources, but a good example of agenda trumping the truth is the media reporting, more properly non-reporting, of almost anything negative having to do with Obama.

No. Actually I was trying to start a dialog about how agenda trumps truth.

But that was before you and Carpro provided the perfect example of how it all works.

You both defended the agenda. Facts be damned, protect the agenda.

Perfect. I couldn't have given better examples of how this works than those you two provided.

Thanks.

You don't believe the media is agenda driven when it comes to Obama's screw ups and coverups? That they would, and do, cover up the truth? You don't believe that?

Carpro, I can only read your replies when someone else quotes you. So if you're thanking me for bringing up this topic on how agenda prevails over truth all I can say is there's no need to thank me I couldn't have done a better job of proving it than you.

Gracias por la ayuda amigo.

That explains it. I thought you were sounding exceedingly vague. Making deductions from such limited information is your stock in trade. This time you're admitting you don't have a clue what you're talking about. Refreshing.

That's why you are frequently wrong. Like now. The only thing I've proven is that your source is a Bush hating liar. But I think most of us know that.

Except you, of course.
