Of course, we knew all that already, so they just wasted more time and tax dollars with the goofy hearings. The minds were made up before the first session.

But, LE, I don't think the hearings are the problem. The Dems' approach to them is.

Perhaps someone could give us the reasons why he/she feels that Alito is a good choice for the Supreme Court, citing examples from either his testimony, writings, quotes, or case history.

I know I have asked this prior to today, but I have yet to get an answer.

    Regards to both of you!!!

Because he has a history of adhering strictly to the law in is judicial decisions, regardless of populist opinion. This in and of itself makes him adequately suited for the SCOTUS bench.

The fact that he makes Kennedy's head spin is enough. I'm aware of what the drunken senator's vision of America is, and anything that stands in his way is good enough for me.

Judge Alito has a good judicial temperate. He is well versed it the law. He has excellent character. He may be a bit too cozy with allowing executive branch power but I think he is pretty much an originalist.

I wrote my two undecided senators and urged them to vote "aye".

All the radical left-socialist democrat-baby killers voted against Alito. That is reason enough for him to be confirmed.

I wouldn't say that. Both of my Democratic senators are moderates. [IMG]

The fact that he makes Kennedy's head spin is enough. </font>[/QUOTE]That's certainly a good sign that he'd make a good Supreme Court Justice. [IMG]
