Once there was a man who gave himself a bloody nose and then jumped into a shark infested pool.

    Stay tuned for the results.

(and let me be the first to send my condolences to his family :flower: )

    premillinnial Second Comings of Christ,
    holier-than-thou Dispensationalist profound writings?

    Here is a sample:

    -----------------------------------------
4 Eschatological time-lines digilently compared by Ed:

Pretrib pre-mill outline of time forward:

    0. church age continues -- you are here
    1. rapture/resurrection
    2. Tribulation time
    3. Second Advent of Jesus event
    4. literal MK=millinnial kingdom
    5. new heaven & new earth

Post-trib pre-mill outline of time forward:

    0. church age continues -- you are here
    2. Tribulation time
    3. Second Advent of Jesus event
    (same 12-hour day as: 1. rapture/resurrection
    4. literal MK=millinnial kingdom
    5. new heaven & new earth

Pre-trib a-mill outline of time forward:

    0. church age continues -- you are here
    (same as 2. Tribulation time)
    3. Second Advent of Jesus event
    (same 12-hour day as: 1. rapture/resurrection
    4. spiritual MK=millinnial kingdom, in heaven
    5. spiritual new heaven & new earth

Done-did preterist a-mill outline of time forward:

    0. church age continues -- you are here
    1. rapture/resurrection -- already happened
    2. Tribulation time -- you are here
    3. Second Advent of Jesus event -- already happened
    4. spiritual MK=millinnial kingdom -- already happened

I grew up in a premil, pretrib dispensational left behind type of atmosphere. The more I have studied on my own since leaving that environment the farther I have went from that theology.

I am not an amillenialist yet. But I am somewhere in the middle at the moment probably closest to a historical premil.

Not really concerned... heard it said once that I was a "pan-millenialist..."

It's all gonna "pan out" just fine.

I'm just gonna be about spreading the Gospel... let God worry about the particulars of the end times.

I believe Jesus is gonna come back one of these days, regardless of what is going on in the Middle East at the time, the dead in Christ will rise, the alive in Christ will be changed, we'll all meet Him in the air, and that's pretty much it, the end of time.

If that's amillenial, then I are one.

Smile! I am amill. Myself was before premill for many years. At first, I was pretrib and premill. Later throughout years, I found there are so many holes within pretribulationism doctrine, because there are so much conflicts with Bible. I realized, Pretribulationism heavily connect with premillennial. Because, premillennial always depend on dispensationalism.

Many saying Early Church were historical premill. Well, probebly they are right. But, do not forget there were lot of postmills and amills in America over 200 years ago. There were very rarely group who was premill in America 200 years ago.

There are so much changed in America lately.

Bible, itself never change. Men easy changing because of their views, opinions, philosphy. I rather follow Bible than what men saying according Colossians 2:8.

    In Christ
    Rev. 22:20 -Amen!

I predict that we will be seeing more and more amills.

    1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

    2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Luke 18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

James, so we should be correct in assuming that you are calling amil a "doctrine of devils"?

    Don't forget 2 Peter 3:3-4
3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

If it's not of God can it be from anyone else?

Web, you and James are welcome to your view. However that is a pretty bold assertion considering amil is a doctrine held both now and historically by solid men of the faith. While I am not an amil at the moment I am not going to call it a doctrine of devils.

    Amillenial here as well.

I think you would find that the majority of Primitive Baptists, and probably all of us PBs on this board, fit into that category.

    Don't be lonely.

James_Newman hit the nail on the head. It's too bad that people are turning away from the biblical view of amillenialism and giving heed to the seducing spirits of pre- and post-mil.

Thats my take on it too. I also grew up under premil dispensational teaching, and once I was old enough to really understand things better, I have moved away from that. (on my own) Amillenialism makes the most sense to me.
