    Alleged 9/11 financier also caught

    WASHINGTON — The raid that resulted in the capture of al-Qaeda operations chief Khalid Shaikh Mohammed also netted Mustafa Ahmed al-Hawsawi, the alleged financier of the Sept. 11 attacks, two senior U.S. government sources said Monday.

    Al-Hawsawi, 34, is identified as a "supporting conspirator" in the indictment of accused terrorist Zacarias Moussaoui, the only person charged in the USA in the attacks.

    I am. Maybe these big catches have something to do with the terrorist plots like on US or on Pearl Harbor not coming to pass. Maybe the system is working behind the scenes. But there's a lot more work to do.

    I posted on Pearl Harbor and gave a link. A poster, (who is in the military), replied and said he was stationed there right now and thought the whole thing was being blown out of proportion.

    I replied, I certainly hope so. But in my mind was the thought, "That's what they thought the first time".

    I really wonder how many terrorist are financed on western money. that is absolutley gutless.

    Last night on breaking news, seems the CIA/FBI got a gold mine with this guys disks, hard drives, etc. Even bank account numbers, names, etc. And they are freezing all these assets.

    My guess is there will be a lot of Western money frozen, especially in US, UK, and Australia. Just from a few "charities" that have been frozen in the US, seems a lot of these mosques donate to "charities" which end up funneling funds to al-Qaeda. Many "moderate" Muslims in the West are paying into these, thinking they are giving to a charity.

    Add to that the food coupon scam, the cigarette scam, the Lebanon honey scam, and others - lots of Western money being funneled into these terrorist groups, much unwittingly and some by people who don't even know there's any connection - Muslims and non-Muslims alike.

    Following the money trail will lead to some interesting developments, I'm sure.

    I think the frozen assets should be seized & funds used to reimburse all the extra security, etc. Maybe divided up among nations helping to fight the war on terror.
