This really ticks me off. Reminds me too much of phony one way holiday truces in Vietnam.

I'll say the same thing I said when President Bush was in office: if we're not going to fight this war to win it, then it's immoral for us to be there.

I agree! The best way to save lives in a war is to fight and win as quickly as possible. If the soldiers in WWII had been hampered by the rules of engagement that prevailed in Iraq and now Afghanistan we would be speaking German or Japanese.

The lawyers have screwed up the country now they are doing it to the military.

Have you seen "An American Carol"? It's kind of a political version of "A Christmas Carol" with a Michael Moore-type character standing in for Ebenezer Scrooge.

In the movie, the ghost of Gen. Patton takes him back to an alternate past where people protested WWII and FDR, the way the liberals protested the war in Iraq and President Bush. ((After all, FDR didn't even take the time to try to understand why the Japanese were mad at us.))

It's pretty funny.

The lawyers have screwed up the country now they are doing it to the military.

Reminds me of another great scene from "An American Carol" ("Grab your guns!" "But they're just lawyers." "Not just lawyers, ACLU zombie lawyers!")

You really need to rent that movie.

Haven't seen it but have heard of it. Newt Gingrich and a co-author have written a book speculating what would have happened if a Carrier Admiral had been in charge of the attack on Pearl harbor rather than a Battleship Admiral. Haven't seen it but I don't think we made out too good.
