I'm not a fan of the ACLU but was never aware of the following.

It was founded in 1920 by an ardent communist – Roger Baldwin. He publicly declared, "I am for socialism, disarmament, and ultimately, for abolishing the state itself... I seek the social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class, and the sole control of those who produce wealth."
Communism is the goal." In 1981, President Jimmy Carter awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest award bestowed on American civilians, to this man, who openly endorsed Stalin's policies.
First, it is a formidable foe to all we hold dear:
They have about 500,000 members.
It is the nation's largest public interest law firm.
It employs roughly 100 staff attorneys, and has the help of nearly 6,000 volunteer attorneys.
Its attorneys appear before the U. S. Supreme Court more often than those of any other organization other than the U. S. Justice Department.
Secondly, this organization seeks the eradication of everything Christian in our nation. Note their Ten Campaigns:
Erasing our Christian Heritage
Attacking all religious liberties
Silencing the church – especially evangelicals
Advancing sexual anarchy
Sexualizing our children
Redefining marriage and the family
Promoting obscenity
Promoting a culture of death – suicide and so-called mercy killing
Impeding the war on Terror
Ever greater taxation and the looting ofthe American taxpayer
Their desire is expressed in a decree issued by a judge who is a member of the ACLU: "The state may not acknowledge the sovereignty of the Judeo-Christian God and attribute to that God our religious freedom." Christians need to pray for God to intervene so as to remove this evil organization from our midst.
